Toronto’s water belongs to the people of Toronto.
New polling shows 60% of Torontonians are concerned about the potential privatization of Toronto Water.
Our members work around the clock to deliver safe, clean drinking water to our city. That responsibility should never be put at risk.
Public water. Public accountability. Public trust.
Toronto’s water is not for sale. 💧

No one should be sleeping in parks, ravines or outside in a province as wealthy as ours.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we honour residential school Survivors, their families and communities, and remember the Indigenous children who never returned home. 🧡
Toronto’s waterfront is situated on the traditional territory of many Indigenous nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishinaabe, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples. It remains home to diverse Indigenous communities today.
Reconciliation calls for ongoing reflection, learning and action. We encourage our waterfront community to listen to Indigenous voices, learn about the lasting impacts of the residential school system and support Indigenous-led initiatives, today and throughout the year. 🧡

Thanks your support, @chrisglover! I'm proud of our work together to defend our waterfront from Doug Ford. We'll keep up the fight!

ALT Graphic with a photo of Ausma Malik and Chris Glover with a quote from Chris that says "When Doug Ford tried to seize city lands and fly jets from the island airport, Ausma led the fight at City Hall to defend our waterfront communities. We know he'll try again - that's why Ausma is the champion we need at City Hall."
