The Greens Voted Against Fairer Parliamentary Staffing.. So Much For Political Equality.
When politicians defend a system that gives them more resources than their smaller rivals, Australians are entitled to ask whose interests are really being protected.

Australian Legislative Ethics Commission retweeted
Well, that was wild. I'm at the Australian Parliament and just left a meeting with two staffers for the governing party. They told us that the government needed more power to censor things like the upcoming US execution of Nidal Hasan.
When I asked why they needed to censor that video, one said it was to prevent copycat killings. Copycat killings by governments? I asked. Er, no, they said. Copycat killings like of a backpacker, several decades ago.
So, under that logic, I pointed out, the government should censor things like last year's Bondi massacre, where two Muslims killed 15 people, no? Well, that was news, they said. Didn't they realize their bill would allow the government to censor news? They didn't seem to know, or care.
They also admitted that they did not know that the bill would allow the government to create and operate an unlimited number of fake social media accounts to attack its political enemies and spread disinformation. Having presented them with information they had never heard about a bill they had clearly not read, they emphasized to us, strenuously, that they were moving forward with the bill.
So there you have it. The government wants the power to arbitrarily censor scenes of violent crime, or violence, for any reason. And it wants the power to use an unlimited number of fake accounts to wage offensive disinformational warfare against the Australian people.
Given that the Bondi massacre last year increased public opposition to mass migration, and support for the populist One Nation Party, it seems obvious that the government wants to censor such events in order to protect its political power.
It's quite telling how obediently governing party members insist such a law is needed without even knowing what's in it.

What If Fatty Liver Wasn't Just "Too Much Fat" — But a Power Plant and Detox Hub Stuck on Overdrive?. Most fatty liver advice starts with calories and willpower. Cut the sugar. Move more. Lose weight. Useful levers — but they miss the bigger pattern: non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and its progressive form, NASH, often behave like a systems failure inside the liver's energy and clearance machinery. Child Protection: A System That Keeps Failing Children
Children have been raped, assaulted, neglected and exploited while supposedly protected by the state. Others have died after warning signs, disrupted placements and failures to provide care. The articles and official reports collected here expose failures that extend beyond an individual offender: failures to listen, supervise, act, support and account for what happened.
Australian Child Protection And Guardianship Watch. 6 October 2026
Across Australia, significant changes are unfolding in child protection, guardianship, institutional accountability and the rights of vulnerable people.
Some involve new laws. Others involve parliamentary inquiries, court action, government oversight, whistleblowers or changes to the way agencies exercise extraordinary powers over children and adults.

2026 Ombudsman Report States Blows Lid Off State Sanctioned Kidnapping. This report explicitly finds that DCJ—the department referred to as DOCS—acted unlawfully by making statutory child-protection decisions before babies were born. It also finds failures involving consent, inappropriate assessment tools, support referrals and unreliable records.
The central problem was that DCJ treated reports about unborn babies as though it already had. alecomm.io/2026/10/05/2026-o…
