My Take on the $PLAY XP Ratio Predictions I’ve seen a lot of predictions about the XP → $PLAY ratio lately, so I wanted to share my non-expert but community-insider perspective. Being active in the @playsolana ecosystem gives me a bit of context that outsiders might be missing 👀 Most people are basing their predictions only on: - The current XP leaderboard - and the fact that 16% of the total $PLAY supply is reserved for “XP-based rewards.” But there are a few important details that many are overlooking. Let’s go through them 👇 1️⃣ The 16% isn’t just for this airdrop The tokenomics clearly state: “16% of the total supply is allocated for XP-based rewards, such as the community early drop and other campaigns.” That means this 16% will be distributed across multiple campaigns, not entirely in the first one. Yet, most of the “XP to $PLAY” ratio predictions I’ve seen assume the full 16% is going to this single drop, which is misleading. 2️⃣ NFT allocations matter (a lot) Each Player 1 NFT gets 10,000 XP at TGE. Each Player 2 NFT gets 5,000 XP. If you’re in the Discord, you know that many people hold more than one, some even five or more. That’s a massive XP boost that won’t be visible on the current leaderboard until TGE hits. 3️⃣ Unclaimed staking XP isn’t being counted There’s also a good chunk of unclaimed XP from staked NFTs. Someone who’s been staking their NFTs for months and hasn’t claimed might have 3,000+ XP per NFT sitting there quietly waiting to drop into their total. Hypothetical case Let’s say someone ranked around #1000 on the leaderboard owns five Player 1 NFTs. That’s 50,000 XP right there, plus another ~15,000 XP from unclaimed staking rewards. That single holder could instantly jump up the rankings and add more XP to the total pool that the early drop will be split across. This means the final XP → $PLAY ratio might end up being much lower than what people are calculating today if they’re ignoring these extra sources. Wrapping up The point of this long post isn’t to “predict” anything perfectly, because truth is, nobody knows. The only thing that’s certain is that TGE will happen.
