It takes courage to explore the world. But they who explore themselves are the bravest of all. – at Thompson-Nicola I (Blue Sky Country), British Columbia
Photos from Kauai, Hawaii. Beautiful island, great people. I’m grateful to get a good long rest after dealing with post-concussion syndrome all winter & spring. The photo of me enjoying some fried rice in Hanalei was taken by my brother who kindly made this trip possible. Gassho!

There is a dignified sea of clouds.”

all morning I’ve been watching clouds
drift across the ceiling
I am walking through an open door
into an ocean of light
if someone comes and tells me I must move
I’d be obliged to answer: hush! listen!
can’t you hear the silence
singing hymns of praise?
Our essence of mind is intrinsically void, unstained and pure. It doesn’t matter if we believe this or not, nor if we like it or hate iit, nor if we think it’s a stupid or a grand idea, the truth remains: Our essence of mind is intrinsically void, unstained and pure.
