As much as I am not a fan of the Pope, cancer is still awful. Regardless of your feelings regarding Catholicism, please join me in praying for Pope Leo. May he be healed and may the Lord reveal His gospel to Leo.

To all the Boomers bitching about Social Security:
If you hadn’t advocated for the abortion of tens of millions of children, there would be a lot of people paying into the system.
Just sayin’

“About two years ago, I started dating someone.
A few days in, she laid out a verbal agreement: a certain number of days each year, she would be with another partner.
We agreed on the days together in advance, and on those days I would need to let her be with him.
She loves him very much.
Honestly, I'd heard about him a few times, and we had even met in the past.
Even before I knew we'd be together under this agreement, I understood her completely.
You can't give up on a guy like that, he's the best there is. Salt of the earth.
On each of those days she goes to him, sits and talks with him, shares her life with him: her work, her successes and her struggles, and also our relationship.
They can sit for hours, talking about the future and the past, about everything they did together and everything she still wants to become.
And me? Well, I usually wait at home. I give her that; it's part of the agreement. Most of the time she's with me, and when she's with me, she's with me one hundred percent.
Every now and then, when we're together, I ask about him: about his career, about their relationship, what there is to learn from him, and how we're different.
Over these years, I've discovered that it doesn't bother me.
I love her, and she loves both of us. It all happens together, completely. One doesn't overshadow the other.
But sometimes I wonder what would have happened if he hadn't been killed. We never would have met. And I wonder whether I'm her blessing, but also part of her curse. Am I doing something wrong, or am I part of the healing?
And this too all lives together, and that's okay.
When we started dating, I told her that in this world, we're in it until the end. And when we go to the next world, I release her to go back to him and pick up where they left off.
And I love her, I love her very much. I love him too.
In memory of Major Benji Trakinsky, who fell in the battle to defend Kibbutz Be'eri on October 7 💔”

This is so gross. What an awful person. May the Lord deal justly with such evil.
TERRORIST: “Hello, dad! Dad, I am inside Mefalsim [Israel]—open your WhatsApp right now, and see all the killed. Look at how many I killed with my own hands! Your son killed Jews!”
FATHER: “Allahu Akhbar, Allahu Akhbar! May God protect you.”
TERRORIST: “This is inside Mefalsim, father. I am talking to you from the phone of a Jew—I killed her and her husband—I killed ten with my own hands.”
“Open your phone and see how many I killed, father. Open your phone, I am calling you on WhatsApp.”
FATHER: Crying (unintelligible).
TERRORIST: “I am in Meflasim, father. I killed ten! Ten! Ten, with my own bare hands! Their blood is on my hands! Let me talk to Mom—”
MOTHER: “Oh, my son, may God protect you!”
TERRORIST: “I killed ten all by myself, mother!”
FATHER: “May God bring you home safely.”
TERRORIST: “Father, go back to WhatsApp! I want to call you live from Mefalsim!”
MOTHER: “I wish I was there with you!”
TERRORIST: “Mother, your son is a hero. I was the first to enter under the guidance and with the help of Allah. Father, lift your head—lift your head!”
(Talking to terrorists on the scene: “Kill! Kill! Kill! Kill them! Inside, inside, into the city!”)
BROTHER: “Mahmoud, Mahmoud. Come back [to Gaza]—that's enough, return.”
TERRORIST: “Return? There is no return—it is victory or martyrdom. My mother gave birth to me for Islam, Alaa. Are you serious? How will I return? Look at WhatsApp—look at your phone—look at all the dead.”
I just realized today is the 7th. And like 9/11, I'll never forget where I was when I first found out about Hamas attacks.
I was staying at a friend's house and we were getting ready for a Mizzou game. I still went to the game, but my mind kept wandering. We lost to LSU and all I wanted to do is go home and find out what was happening.
God bless that man. He looks like men from my town. Just a working man who knows his Bible and loves the Lord. Catholics like @MattWalshBlog and @michaeljknowles should take note.
Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles are asked if they know where they’ll go when they die.
Their answer? “No”
Why? Because their faith is not resting in the finished, imputed work of Jesus.
It’s in their own merit.
But Hebrews 10 tells us this:
“Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, let us draw near with a true heart in FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.”
Hebrews 10:19-20, 22 ESV
When Jesus said “it is finished”, he meant it.
If our faith is in him, we have no reason to not know where we will end up.
