Have we had 30 years of worse rule in this country than Clinton to the present?
Absolute country ending stuff here
When you consider George W. Bush inherited a budget surplus from the good 90s economy, then used 9/11 to start 20 year wars while doing tax cuts, then bailed out the banks that gave us the 2008 financial crisisâŠthe excitement makes some sense in hindsight.
But Obama just decided to sell out and get rich. His main legislative âachievementâ is healthcare premiums that are bankrupting the middle class. He squandered the chance to be a transformative POTUS to live on Marthaâs Vinyard with Netflix $$.

The "Deep State" isn't that deep; it's a microclass of 45-65 y/o Northern Virginia bureaucrats who are mostly inspired by social incentives and norms within their microclass rather than by cognizant ideological conviction.

The Belle Ăpoque was the peak of Western Civilization
Since then, particularly with the Great War, we lost all that separates a High Civilization with a High Culture from a world that is merely rich in the material sense
Yes, we have air conditioning. But they didn't have obese, shirtless Gambians wiping Cheetos dust "off they hands" onto their Cookie Monster pajama pants at the cramped airport seating while mumble rap plays over the loudspeakers
They chose the opposite of that, in every respect, and their world was better for it

20 years ago, we were defending George Bush when the left was attacking him. Then we refused to vote for his fat brother, and he betrayed us along with his whole miserable family.
Have you noticed thatâs the common thread among the decency and principles crowd? They have no decency or principles. They are trash. If I never hear of a Bush again itâs too soon.

Because the Boomer Holy War, otherwise known as the Second World War, is the creation myth, the biblical Genesis, of the political world order we inhabit. History begins in 1945, Year Zero, when the Allied and Axis powers, the cosmic forces of absolute Good and Evil, clashed for dominion over the world.
What we call âWestern Valuesâ are the liberal American values of the postwar order: unregulated global capitalism, liberal democracy, individualism, civil rights, and equality. Three generations of men have been indoctrinated into this cult, which is ultimately a secularized heresy of Aristotelian humanist Christianity, repackaged as a universal moral doctrine.
Hitler has assumed the role of Satan, while some grotesque amalgamation of Winston Churchill and Martin Luther King Jr. occupies the throne of Jesus Christ. The Nazis are the defeated legions of Hell, and the Holocaust is the ultimate revelation of Evil against which all subsequent political and moral questions must be judged.
Youâre not allowed to have nice things like community, traditional families, immigration restrictions, or any meaningful sense of national, ethnic, racial, or religious identity as a White person because any deviation from the sacred doctrines of the postwar consensus threatens to bring about Holocaust 2. To believe in any of these is to practice heresy. Racism is the ultimate heresy, and White guilt is origin sin, without a path to atonement.
The further removed each generation becomes from 1945, the weaker its attachment to this haphazard, pseudo religious worldview grows. In 13 years, an entire century will have passed since the outbreak of the Second World War.
The moralizing about the Holocaust, the obsessive fixation on stopping identity politics among native Westerners, the relentless insistence on feminism, diversity, and the ideological apparatus of the postwar order will resemble the exhausted dogmas of a dying secular religion whose founding revelation has lost its power over the living.
This is obvious as the materialistic promise of infinite growth and wealth has failed, and mass immigration, diversity and the third world are an existential threat to westerners who have no socioeconomic opportunities and a poor shot at family for formation.
And nothing will be done about it
Nothing happened after they burned Notre Dame, why would they do anything now?
I can't say what should be done without fed-posting
Sooner or later, these Third World rioters will destroy a priceless work of art that all of us know by name.
Whether it's from van Gogh, da Vinci, Monet, or someone else, I do not know. But it's only a matter of time until these animals break into the Louvre or the British Museum or some other famous gallery and destroy everything inside.
We all know it's going to happen because our governments do not have the stomach to admit that their Liberal worldview is wrong.

For many of our friends, democracy = politics
Then they find out democracy is fake, so they assume politics is fake
But actually democracy being fake means that politics is way more real than you thought

Columbus thread time.
Columbus was not an idiot. He spent his life since the age of 14 at sea or engaged in nautical trade, and had extensive experience with navigation and cartography. He was deeply embedded in the merchant class at the time.

I am getting lots of incoming questions about the public execution of Nidal Hasan, mostly because I have been outspoken on wanting public executions for over a decade.
My position is simple: Executions should be public and brutal, not private and medicalized. They are the ultimate example of the state's monopoly on violence, and the only way to keep that from running out of control is to confront voters with the trade they have made every single time, that they might have appropiate confidence or revulsion in the institution.
This is not new thinking. George Washington thought the same. The way we have shifted from hanging to firing squads to doctors quietly injecting chemicals that send our worst gently off to sleep is awful and dystopian, a total short-circuiting of important feedback mechanisms. It makes needless executions more likely, not less so. People who demean this as barbaric or yucky miss the whole point. It doesn't somehow become torture or inhumane (as the UN is suddenly claiming) just because we decline to hide the act behind a curtain.
And then there are those who suggest any revel in the death of those who truly deserve it is an indicator of a broken or diseased mind. To the contrary. It is normal, good, and aligned with our natural and national order. That it has not been done here in 60 years is an indictment in and of itself.
And that is without even getting into the fact that men were not hung for stealing horse, but that horses may not be stolen.
"I would to God that one of the most attrocious in each State was hung in Gibbets, up on a gallows five times as high as the one prepared by Haman. No punishment, in my opinion, is too great for the Man, who can build his greatness upon his Countryâs ruin."
- George Washington, 1778

Back in 2017, I read a book called How Democracies Die. Despite being authored by two left wing professors, it's a very, very good book.
The book is about how (mostly) populist movements kill democratic systems. The overwhelming majority of the book covers how right wing movements topple democracies.
It's very well researched and cited, and I enjoyed reading it immensely.
But as I read through all the examples, I couldn't help but wonder: why in the world did these right wing movements wake up one day and decide to destroy these supposedly perfectly stable societies?
It just didn't make sense.
So after I finished the book, I made a list of ten examples in the book to research.
The first thing I found is that these right wing movements were reacting to something. That's why they're called reactionary movements. And what were they reacting to? Socialist or communist movements.
In EVERY SINGLE CASE*, the right wing movement arose in direct response to the rise of a violent socialist or communist movement.
It's an immune reaction.
In EVERY SINGLE CASE*, the socialist or communist movement had either already taken power or was threatening to and, in the latter cases, the right wing movements that took power simply beat the communists to the punch.
The Right took power before the communists did. That's it. That's literally all you need to know about why and how right wing movements take power.
That's how your vaunted democracies die. Not because right wingers wake up one day and, for no reason at all, decide to take power, but because the Far Left threatened to do it first.
What Joel Berry and James Lindsay and all the others should understand (if they don't already), is that if you want to stop the so-called "Woke Right" then the real enemy is the Woke Left.
There is no right wing immune response if there's no cancerous Far Left movement threatening to destroy their country.
There is no reactionary movement if there's nothing to react to.
Why, then, do they spend SO MUCH TIME antagonizing the populist right wing?
And why does Joel Berry keep posting these absolute dog shit takes that actually illustrate the point of his opposition? Is his IQ actually 300 instead of 30? Inquiring minds want to know.
(*One claimed exception is right-wing Imperial Japan, which did not start as an outgrowth of opposition to communism, but a reaction to the coercive influence of Western imperialism. Once the right-wing imperial system was adopted, Japan did suppress socialist and communist movement, and passed laws that effectively banned both. I don't believe Japan is an exception, but some ACKSHUALLY reply guy might bring it up, and here's your sign.)

There is no liberal democratic solution to the fact that a majority of the voting public demands things which are mathematically impossible to provide.
People in France want nigh unlimited funding for everything ranging from Boomer communism to the worldâs most lavish welfare state, and no one in electoral politics dares to tell them that all of their demands are physically impossible to meet because courageous politicians are also stupid politicians.
There is no escape. No one can do what must be done because the rewards are too great for those who counter-signal against doing the right thing.
So long as political legitimacy rests upon democratic consent, political reality will tend towards insolvency.

In 1978 boomers became the majority voting bloc in the country. The first 18 year olds to be able to vote. They held this title until 2016. They were the majority in the house until last year, and the majority of the senate until 2023.
In that time they have radically changed the demographics of America by supporting immigration policies. They were the first generation to embrace no fault divorce and half of them broke their childrenâs homes. One third of my generation was aborted. They created a legal and corporate system hostile to their sons. But the worst thing they did is destroy the economy.
They were handed one of the most prosperous economies the world has ever seen, and they created untold levels of debt. The modest expansions in gdp are overshadowed by the ballooning debt. Their social programs were all paid for by the taxes of their children and grand children. 50x fold increase in debt, 60x increase in unfunded liabilities, 30x increase in interest payments which now exceeds national defense. Less than a 1/3 of boomers plan to leave an inheritance. The belief that the young should sacrifice even a dime more to pay for their retirements is absurd.
But hey, at least theyâre apologetic and conciliatory about it.

We need to normalize double and triple charging boomers for all goods and services. Boomer wants a new corvette? Thatâll be 500k. Boomer wants his plumbing fixed? Thatâll be 75k.
Weâll see who âoverwhelmingly supportsâ getting taxed.
Majority of boomers are self-absorbed trash. Imagine taking from your children and grandchildren so you can live comfortably lol
