This is honestly so discouraging. I work really hard for pennies. Sometimes, I actually lose money doing this. I requested this document first. I paid for this document. I obtained it and released it well before the Daily Mail published the same story and called it an “exclusive.” And now the New York Post is citing them as the source. I went through HELL last year to bring you my reporting on the Karmelo case. I was targeted. I was swatted. I was falsely reported to CPS. A man went to PRISON for ten years after stalking me and my family because of his obsession with the case and his loyalty to Karmelo. I was pregnant through all of it. Did the mainstream media ever cover what I went through? No. And I’m okay with that. I never expected them to. But pretending independent journalists don’t even exist while taking the stories we worked to uncover is something entirely different. I did the work. I made the request. I paid for the records. I obtained the document. I released it first. Then I watched a major outlet publish the same story as an “exclusive” - and when I pushed back and asked for credit, I was blocked. Now another major outlet is pointing to them as the source. That is what is so discouraging. It isn’t about wanting attention. It’s about basic journalistic ethics: credit the reporter who actually did the work. The MSM is trash.
