And then there are lopsided and questionable trades as two huge conglomerates own six of the 12 teams.
The PBA confuses the hell out of me.
It's like a mishmash of NBA + FIBA rules. It's 12-minute quarters but has none of the NBA's other rules such as defensive three seconds or players being able to call timeouts. Its three-point line is FIBA, and so is its jump-ball situations (i.e., uses possession arrow).
It also has something neither the NBA or FIBA has: a 4-point line. In a league not known for its world-class distance shooting.
It's trying to be its own identity, but in the process is left with having an extremely confused identity. No wonder it's being left behind by the rest of the world, among other reasons.
I thought since one of the @BrunoMars concert days is my birthday, I'd be lucky to get tickets. But, no. Hanggang jukebox na lang talaga tayo. 😢
So, the Dodgers can't beat the Brewers and can't beat the Braves. And September is right around the corner.
