Artists- do you care about the life of your artwork beyond the act of its creation? Documenting deep understanding of a piece (in addition to its minting and transaction history) is super important to me. But where to find the time? I’ve just hired a web3 documentarian to capture all the context behind one of my pieces. And man alive the amount of relief I feel after the call we just had makes me feel light as a feather. The wheels are in motion to get all that information, exhibition history, lore, wips/behind the scenes, media coverage, community comments, and supplemental context compiled together and onchain. Directly tied to the minted piece and backed up on arweave. So a future collector, curator, historian, or curious spectator can easily access it in a pinch to witness its past -and just as importantly- its present life beyond a mint date. All of this. Through @atomicform. They have a self serve model and a paid one. So if you’re like me who spends most of their waking life in the studio and can’t scrape time together to do it manually, they got you covered. Artists- if you care about this stuff but don’t have the time to do it yourself I beseech you to hop on a call with this man. I guarantee you’ll feel as light as a feather too. And if you don’t want to go the paid route there are lots of good diy tools at your fingertips like Atomic form and @TransientLabs story inscriptions. Whichever you chose, the key point is start looking into documenting your work better, and more fully. Carve your legacy.
