Our denial as a Ghanaian music consumer community when it comes to the quality of our craft needs to be studied. The music is not bad, it doesn’t have the force to procure the breakthrough we need as an industry. Blacko hacked it. But he’s the only main stream person who has.

👨🏾‍🍳🇬🇭: I reckon “these new musicians” refers to a small, commercially visible sample of recent acts. That doesn’t invalidate my original argument. Like I said, we have problems. And one of them is what you and I CHOOSE to make popular. GOOD Ghanaian music isn’t limited to records that “sound Nigerian.” That’s simply the sound we’ve collectively chosen to amplify. Also, globally, good music no longer sells itself these days. If you ain’t got the budget, forget about it. Until then, you & I have a choice to amplify the GOOD until the budget arrives to make them ‘popular.’ 🦅🇬🇭
