New preprint alert! We find that spatial and kinetic mechanisms underlie coordinated regulation of mRNA initiation and termination across a gene. biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… A thread 🧵 (1/8)
Together, our results suggest that a combination of gene architecture, chromatin domains, and kinetic mechanisms ultimately influence the regulation of mRNA isoform composition (7/8)

Exciting news -- @BeEngelhardt and I have a new R01 from @NHGRI to develop better kinetic models for RNA processing! A short thread (TL;DR: We're hiring!) 1/4
Our project will combine RNA genomics with statistical & machine learning approaches to fix this. We need exp & comp POSTDOCS to join us to help design experiments that are ideally powered for ML & to build a suite of ML analysis methods collaboratively. 3/4
