I asked Coach Smesko about Naz Hillmon and Izzy Borlase’s impact throughout this series. The little things they do to impact games may not always show up on the stat sheet, but they play an important role whenever their numbers are called: “Naz, you know, I I think a lot of people miss all the things that she does, like from the solid screen. I guess you know because screening assists don't show up in a box score or spacing assists or you know you help, and it causes a turnover that somebody else gets a steal. Like, and she does all those things. She knows the game plan in and out. She gets everybody on the same page. She helps us literally on every possession, and then you know it may not result in a ton of points or a ton of rebounds, but it helps our points and our efficiency on both sides of the ball.”
