🔥 @golang just became the most-used language on @googlecloud.
Java is close behind (on raw SDK API requests). Fastest growing? Python, Rust, C++, JS, and C# adding users and SDK requests rapidly.
Install the Go SDK (github.com/googleapis/google…), along with Genkit Go, and ADK Go!
I'll try answer
Will work with the assumption that we have one endpoint serving this data. I will also assume we have, in front of us a cache.
The first thing is pagination. We have options here:
Borrowing from Temporal & Spatial locality:
I'll cache the next page of results and re-cache this with a slightly longer ttl. The next page might have a slightly shorter ttl.
This way, the first request might hit the disk, but after that, mostly memory.
One day.
In 2017, I started learning Go, mostly from curiosity. After working some years for Mattermost, I learnt enough to start sharing that knowledge with the community. Today I’m honored to share that I’ve been recognized as a @GoogleDevExpert in Go.
This wouldn’t have happened without a lot of people involved in my own process, from the extremely welcoming Go community, to my companies, @kaleidosnet, @Mattermost, @ona_hq, and now @VictoriaMetrics, that has been always supportive and helping me to contribute back to the community.
The GDE program is about sharing knowledge, so, there is not going to change much from my side, except that I'll have even more support to keep sharing with you what I learn in Go.

Hey! Have a look at Duka (duka.africa). It was built for exactly this.
Your website: describe your restaurant in a sentence or two and Duka’s AI builds the site for you: homepage, menu categories, dishes with photos and prices, all in your colours. You can edit anything after, and use your own domain if you have one.
Online orders: customers order from their phone and pay with an M-Pesa prompt, no card needed. You choose how food gets to them: your own riders, Duka riders, or customers picking up. You also get every WhatsApp and Instagram chat in one inbox, so orders that come in through DMs don’t get lost.
Point of sale for the counter: it runs in your browser, on a tablet or in the Duka app.
Each cashier opens their own shift.
You can take cash, M-Pesa, or both on one bill.
Receipts print on a thermal printer, or go to the customer by SMS.
At closing you count the drawer and see if you’re short or over, with X and Z reports for the day.
Online and counter sales come off the same stock, so you’re never selling something you’ve run out of.
Money: sales go to your Duka wallet and you withdraw to M-Pesa. You also get reports on what’s selling and when, plus discount codes and promotions when you want to bring people back.
It’s free to start: no monthly fee and no commission. You can be set up today and take your first order this week.
If you need restaurant-specific things like table orders or kitchen tickets, tell me what you need and I’ll be straight with you about what fits. Happy to help you set it up. Just send me a DM.
I have built a sample site for you:
