A research contribution by Sarah Fathallah examines how Palestinians’ voice communications are intercepted, stored, and algorithmically analysed within the Israeli occupation’s system of surveillance and control.
The paper traces the flow of voice data, from the capture of calls and conversations to their storage, processing, and use in intelligence and military operations, highlighting the role of technology companies and cloud service providers in enabling this system. It also examines the impact of voice surveillance on Palestinians’ privacy, freedom of expression, and everyday lives, as well as pathways for holding the actors involved accountable.
The paper is part of 7amleh’s Digital Domination book in collaboration with Ibrahim Abu-Lughod Institute of International Studies at Birzeit University.

It's been a known fact for years that Israel is supporting the genocidal RSF in Sudan
⭕️ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu displayed a map during a presentation of Israel’s national security doctrine on Sunday that places Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), an entity the UN has found to be committing genocide, like Israel, in the category “Israel and UAE consider friendly.”
In August, Africa Intelligence reported that senior RSF delegations secretly visited Tel Aviv in May 2025 and February 2026, meeting with officials from Israel’s Foreign Ministry and intelligence services.
The delegations reportedly included Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, the RSF’s deputy commander and brother of its leader, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti).
The map was created in May by Germany’s Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, a political foundation.

These images that emerged from Gaza show the remains of an iron bed, crushed and folded in on itself by the force of a bombing that completely destroyed the family’s home. A child had been sleeping on that bed.
Among the twisted wreckage, a milk bottle was found.
After nearly three years buried beneath the rubble, the remains of the child and their family were finally recovered yesterday.

🚨 BREAKING: Half a million Palestinians in Gaza will lose monthly food assistance as funding shortages force major World Food Programme cuts ahead of winter, ABC News Australia reports.
➤ WFP is reducing its monthly reach from 1.6 million people to 1.1 million. Families receiving two food parcels will now get one, and flour bags will shrink.
➤ Daily hot meals have fallen from 250,000 to 150,000. Some families in hard-to-reach areas will receive meals every other day instead of daily. Cash assistance for 75,000 families is being cut by 40%.
➤ WFP’s Carl Skau said traditional donors, including the U.S. and Europe, have reduced funding. “It’s not because the needs are down … it’s only due to the lack of funding,” Skau told ABC.
➤ Around 1.4 million people face crisis-level hunger or worse, including 200,000 in emergency conditions. WFP says it urgently needs $450 million for six months of operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
