Very much possible As current Mantra is Win State Elections at any cost The next generation can look after themselves
Freebies culture killed India growth story. I will not be surprised UP govt give 5000-10000 to women as a freebie in coming months before elections

- AI closed source models ( chat gpt, Claude) need $ 10 trn annually to justify valuations. But OpenAI missed its revenue guidance by $ 20 bn (instead of 70 it could only do 50) - the work these closed AI LLMs do, Chinese open LLMs are showing can be done at 1/10 cost -this reality is catching up fast. Oracle’s debt to raise money for data centres remain unsold. OpenAI postponed its IPO and now attempting thru private route at 1.5 trn valuation Minus AI stocks, US stock market growth remains sober. US sucked out capital from everywhere else, doubled its deficit from Covid to $ 40 trn, to fund this gig that Chinese are poised to win. That is more or less the interpretation of Jeffries’ doomsday prediction for US AI gold rush.

One thing is certain - Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL and many more companies helped millions of Indians move from a lower middle class financial status to an upper middle class and upper class status. People with zero assets, no family background have built houses, given good education to their children, taken care of their families - All because they made good money. People travelled abroad, saved well, roamed around, took their parents abroad to show them how developed world looks like. None of this would have happened without the advent of IT companies in India. One can hate them as much as they want but the IT companies built Modern India and Modern Indian homes🤩

A brazen display of VIP arrogance and defiance of the Supreme Court of India. A black Mercedes-Benz sedan bearing registration DL1CAB1111 was seen bulldozing its way through Delhi traffic, accompanied by a black Scorpio brazenly displaying “POLICE” and “ESCORT” in red lettering, blaring a siren, with armed personnel forcing ordinary motorists out of the way. Who is this individual? Who authorised this private show of State power? And under whose authority were armed men clearing public roads for him? In Abhay Singh v. State of Uttar Pradesh, (2013) 15 SCC 435, the Supreme Court, speaking through Justices G.S. Singhvi and C. Nagappan, condemned precisely this culture of manufactured privilege, describing the abuse of sirens and symbols of authority as reflective of “Raj Mentality” and antithetical to the concept of a Republic. The Court expressly directed enforcement authorities to act “without any fear or favour.” The law was further tightened in 2017, restricting vehicular beacons to designated emergency and disaster-management duties. Will the Commissioner of Delhi Police identify the occupants, disclose the legal authority for this escort, and initiate prosecution if these privileges were unlawfully exercised? Or will the Supreme Court’s directions remain meaningless whenever a wealthy private individual decides that public roads are his personal estate? If this was not a lawfully authorised police operation, it demands immediate investigation, seizure of evidence and prosecution of those responsible. How much longer must ordinary citizens tolerate this vulgar, feudal VIP culture? Money does not confer constitutional status. And Delhi’s roads are not the private property of businessmen with delusions of royalty. @DelhiPolice @CPDelhi

Ben Affleck reveals he writes Python, understands convolutional neural networks, worked extensively with GPUs, and used his celebrity status to get private looks at Google and OpenAI’s video models “I’ve always been kind of into computers since I was young. Then, when film started to move from analog film to digital, I became more interested in that aspect of it. The visual-effects workflow for many years has included machine learning, so I can write pretty shitty Python scripts and stuff like that. “With convolutional neural networks, which were the precursors to what the transformer can do, which is much more computation simultaneously, you would do things like look at what’s called a tensor. That’s the numerical translation of a visual image in numbers, like the batch number, the frame number and the red, green and blue values of each pixel in each frame. It’s just that simple. That numeric is called a tensor. “You’d use a convolutional neural network to identify patterns that reveal what’s called edge detection or feature extraction, which is identifying patterns well enough to know, this is where the window ledge is, so we can more easily take the green-screen image out and replace it with something. “That was familiar to me early on because, prior to Artists Equity, I had a small visual-effects company. I’ve worked with GPUs a lot too. The visual-effects guys said, ‘Hey, you should see. There are a couple: Google and this other company, OpenAI, are doing really interesting stuff with transformers in video.’ “I’ve learned that I can actually just call up and go, ‘Hey, it’s Ben Affleck. Can I come see what you’re doing?’ Sometimes people say yes, to my astonishment.”
$ANET Andy Bechtolsheim says AI has made optics demand about 10 times bigger in five years and the industry is only at the "very beginning" "So I guess I don't need to tell you that AI has been driving this incredible increase in demand for high-speed optics, which is probably now 10 times bigger than it used to be five years ago..." "And what I want to talk to you today is that we're not at the end of this journey, but rather the very beginning. There's easily another order of magnitude increase in bits needed for the next generation kind of data centers." "So what I want to talk about first is what's happening at the data center level, and how we as an industry have to get together to solve these problems of this very rapid and high demand growth as fast as possible, since AI can't wait." ______ For full set of takeaways to Andy's AI Datacenter and Optics lecture: firesidealpha.substack.com/p…

Yesterday @GoogleDeepMind made a toxin-degrading enzyme from scratch. Today @OpenAI solved 370 of the most difficult mathematical problems. AI has removed intelligence as a differentiator between humans. We are back to living in (modern) caves gazing at stars with nothing to do.
