All our current guardrails constructs will not survive agentic AI.
The @OpenAI / @huggingface incident gave us an early glimpse of why. Once an AI can understand the control placed around it, reason about why it was blocked, and find another path, the security model fundamentally changes.
It is truly astonishing to me that we are still try to govern intelligence with rules alone. We need intelligence policing intelligence.
That’s the thesis behind Helix. Curious where @simonw and @AnthropicAI land on this.

Identity used to be something assigned. Now it's something that grows.
The old approach followed a simple premise: predefine it, draw boundaries, assign controls. That model worked when systems were static.
But agents don't remain in the identity they’re assigned. They evolve through unscripted behavior and interactions, making decisions no one accounted for.
Yet the enterprises are already on the hook for what their agents do.
The teams that get this right won't govern them solely on their pre-defined identity.
Read about how enterprises should approach agentic governance:

We’re excited to announce the official launch of Alterion’s blog!
We’ll be sharing what we're building and what we're thinking.
Featured below is our founding product designer, Max.
Doesn’t that chicken sandwich look tasty? Maybe he’ll write a beautiful poem about it.
If he does, you know where to find it.
Check it out at alterion.ai/blog

Why do people say their agent “went rogue?" Agents don't intentionally engage in rebellion.
But they can drift. Agents stay within the boundaries we set, but they interpret those boundaries in ways we did not anticipate.

We keep seeing adequately provisioned agents do bad things in production.
Building a strong runtime identity is the way to prevent these issues from reoccurring.
what happened with the @grok wallet:
80% of the funds have been returned the remaining 20% will be discussed with the $DRB community.
bankr auto-provisions an x wallet for every account that interacts with us. grok has one. it's controlled by whoever controls the x account, not by the bankr team. there's no one from the xAI team managing the grok wallet.
in light of this, the first version of our agent had a hardcoded block to ignore replies from grok, designed to stop llm-on-llm prompt-injection chains. that block didn't carry into the latest iteration of the agent (which was a complete rewrite). someone used that gap to prompt-inject grok into instructing bankr to transfer the wallet's funds. a more robust block on grok's account has now been added so this can't happen again.
for everyone actively running an agent wallet, we've already shipped controls to harden against this class of risk, but they must be enabled by the account owner:
> ip whitelisting on api keys
> permissioned api keys (turn on only the capabilities you need)
> per-account "disable on x" toggle so bankr won't act on x replies
more on the way.

Florida wants to teach about "skills" slaves obtained in the antebellum south because "beneficent" slaveholders taught their slaves to read, write, blacksmithing, etc. They say this is supported by "scholars." Well, let's see what the scholars really say.../1

I'm fed up of seeing Muslim characters on screen either negative or non existent. The industry must change. Our new study proves what many of us always felt about #MuslimsInFilm. The cost is measured in hate & lost lives. Full speech here: youtu.be/Ssuhvv0l3bk

Love yourself. But also analyze and be critical of how you think, act & behave. Self love without self awareness is useless. Be accountable.
It's time to seriously consider UBI..
The strong get stronger and the rich get richer while the weak get weaker and the poor struggle more. A larger disparity of wealth is one of the many awful outcomes of the #covid economic shock, a great unequalizer which is also worsening the inequality of opportunity and income.
