Two contract housekeeping items, since there is a lot of buzz today. 1. If "fake years" are added to a player's contract in his mid-30s as a method to suppress AAV and/or entice a signature with additional total dollars, #NHL will monitor and pursue later if proven as means of cap circumvention. Example: If #Leafs want to offer Tanev 6 years x $4 million, and the goal (😉) is to only play three years and spend the last two or three on LTIR (😉), well then, that won't be looked upon fondly later. We've been through this once before, hence the 35+ contract rule. Out of the 924 players in the #NHL this season, only one (Mark Giordano) played as a 40-year-old this season. He's also a little bit of a different case, won a Norris Trophy at age 35. No one could honestly think that signing Tanev to a deal that stretches into his 40-year-old season would be a deal on the up-and-up. 2. It is expressly prohibited in the CBA for a free agent to agree to a post-contract arrangement for services, say as a team ambassador or in player development, as a way of working outside of the salary cap. That type of deal is outlawed and the #NHL would very likely also consider that circumvention.

Anyone else remember when the FCC denied trying to punish convoy supporters but then the emails were released and that’s exactly what they were trying to do. But while the FCC tried to impound farmers tractors and semis the CEO of the FCC laughed while eating lobster and caviar overseas. What a bunch of fucking losers.
BREAKING: The CEO of Farm Credit Canada billed $182,297 in expenses last year—nearly 4 times more than her predecessor, according Blacklock's Reporter. Records obtained through Access to Information show: ➡️Business-class flights to Europe and Asia ➡️Luxury hotels ➡️Filet Mignon dinners ➡️A $543 Uber from Edmonton to Calgary Meanwhile, employees were told to "tighten the belt" and reduce travel expenses. Over her first three years as CEO, expenses reportedly exceeded $422,700. The optics will raise serious questions about accountability at one of Canada's most important Crown corporations serving agriculture.

You'll never get a bigger wave from a farmer than when you pull off into an approach while there coming down the gravel road with the drill. #Etiquite See way too many vehicles in a hurry that try to meet & go around farm equipment. Sometimes scary to watch. Share the road!

A perfect day in Canada: 6:00 wake up 6:30 have toast with butter that almost melts. 7:00 leave for work earlier for incase another semi driver slammed into something creating traffic. 8:00 swing by Tim Horton's, repeat your order 4 times. 8:30 get to work and immediately start with land acknowledgments chants. 13:00 have ketchup chips for lunch. 13:30 post on Facebook about how Donald Trump ruined Canada. Enjoy the satisfaction of getting likes from boomers and a couple bots. Great success. 15:00 spent an hour at HR after misgendering your genderfluid-4 spirited- furry co-worker who identified as a gay giraffe today. 16:00 it's pay day! Open pay stub feel relieved that over 40% of your income went to taxes knowing it pays for welfare of non-Canadians somewhere. 17:00 finish another good day at work trying to navigate the latest red tape impacting your company. 18:30 nothing much for dinner as groceries are too expensive. You order a $8 kids happy meal and pay $23 for it. Open the wrapper to see a bite taken out. It's ok, you understand. 19:30 watch CBC, feel better you were right about Donal Trump. 21:00 get comfy on the couch for a good sleep as you had to rent your bedroom out to afford rent.

Main stream media call the mass murderer a she, because that was his chosen pronoun. Yet he chose to be identified his last name as Strang, and they refer to him as Rootselaar, his estranged father’s surname, after the mother refused him in his life. Now Jennifer is a tragic victim in this, full stop, that’s not my issue here. But why do the MSM address his chosen pronouns but not his chosen last name? The public has lost a lot of trust in MSM since Covid, why do they want to discredit themselves further for a social (aka political) cause and push everyone to X @elonmusk while mass layoffs threaten their jobs? Quite a hole they’re digging themselves.
Jesse Strang/Van Rootselaar was estranged from his father because of his mother, Jennifer Strang/Jacobs. Emmett Jacobs, his stepbrother, whom he killed was also estranged from his biological father, Jean Pierre Jacobs, for the same reason. JP Jacobs has two other kids with Jennifer Strang. Both fathers reportedly made repeated attempts to stay involved in their sons’ lives, but to no avail. These boys grew up largely without their fathers. I’ve come across many such cases over the years, where in Canada, a mother’s custodial rights effectively override a father’s role. We need a serious conversation about how these decisions are made, and what they mean for the well-being of young kids. vancouversun.com/news/father…
