“It was a twisting road so we could not see what was around the next corner. At each turn the road became steeper and stonier. Where was it taking us? What should we do? Then through the trees we could see a small patch of sunlight, a small grassy glade.” ~C.R.Milne

Ofgem's price cap is rising today, but experts predict the worst is yet to come. All the while we stay hooked to volatile fossil fuel markets, UK households will be stuck with high energy bills, while energy giants take home billions in profit.

🤯 Simply stunning. The incredible sight of the Stadium of Light with European football back on Wearside after 53 years.
❤️ There’s been relegations, promotions, five decades of waiting - but this moment for every person at the club, every supporter, every person no longer with us.
🏟️ A full stadium display from @ThisIsWearside the Europa League anthem playing, a deafening atmosphere & 47,000 Mackems celebrating an incredible moment in the clubs history with a rendition of Wise Men Say.
🔴⚪️ Welcome back to Europe, Sunderland - you deserve every single second.
Perfect path choice 🤣 Fair few hidden nettles! Made it back about 40mins before the downpour started! #vanlife ##yorkshiredales – at Fremington, England
Lakeland trails 100k (64miles). It was a warm one! Managed to finish 10th lady with time of 19hr30mins. Impressive blister on big toenail from about 28miles in! Just about survived in the heat 🥵

Sunderland fans leaving Everton’s ground yesterday with their new chant about Newcastle…
“You laughed at us,
When we were shite,
We came back up,
And beat you twice
One nil at home,
Two one away,
All the Geordies ran away”
North York Moors, wainstones half marathon loop (16.7miles), mainly dry until you reach the bog! Presume this section of path never really drys out!
Trying to work on race speed after an 8year hiatus, 2mile Gordom smith road relays. Leg 2 for me and some improvement from last weeks, still fingers 🤞 more to come.
