Kon Knueppel says Wednesday will make 3 weeks since his hamstring injury, which happened during live play with the team: “Just got a rebound, defensive rebound, and went coast to coast with it. Just felt my hamstring pull up on me. Kinda felt like a cramp. Then I was like, "I don't think that's a cramp." So just a little tug of the hamstring. I'm progressing really well. It feels good, I'm not dealing with any pain now. Just working the strength back, working my way up and going through the steps of starting to run, starting to jog. Getting back to playing five-on-five, playing against contact just ramping myself up from there.” Kon says he’s doing everything he can to be prepared and ready to go asap.

Jeff Peterson addressed the media first on Hornets Media Day. ▪️Loves the progress that Brandon Miller is making & expects him to participate in training camp and be ready to roll for the season opener. ▪️The most exciting thing he's seen this offseason has been the commitment the players have made to each other and the guys in the locker room holding one another accountable. Peterson says that commitment to each other is special. ▪️Says it was extremely important for players to be able to go through the 2 Play games last season. Winning against Miami helped their confidence. As much as he hates losing, says the loss to Orlando was probably for the best so the group can sit back and reflect and learn they can’t let it happen again. Showed the players that to win in the playoffs you have to do it over and over again. ▪️Shouts out the fan base. Peterson says they're passionate, they love basketball, they want to win, they're knowledgeable and he'd put them up against any other fan base in the world.
