Building a Cardano node in a low-performance language shouldn’t be the goal anymore. LLMs have changed the importance of language familiarity. We can optimise for the machine and the protocol now. Rust/Go style systems languages make far more sense for a node.

Cardanoscan is no longer the Cardanoscan you remember. That is not an easy sentence to write. We’ve moved beyond the old homepage. Today, we’re unveiling a redesigned Home Page with DeFi, chain stats, network activity, and more. New home. Same chain. cardanoscan.io/

Cardano Node 11.1.1 is a release worth celebrating 🚀 Finally, some seriously useful developer-facing capabilities are landing. Full transactions via FetchBlock is HUGE! This is the kind of tooling developers need. 👏

Big day for de-uplc: it has now migrated to the web, so you no longer need to install an vs code extension to debug your UPLC code. Everything can be done in the web app: cardananium.github.io/de-upl… In addition to the previous functions of de-uplc, it can now debug random UPLC code without needing any transaction context. But it wouldn’t be a big day without integration with CQuisitor: there is now a button that navigates to de-uplc to debug a specific redeemer in its transaction context.

Here's my personal take on both @NicolasC3rny and @adamKDean 's suggestions. Tendering... Well what should I say after I worked in the TSC for months on tendering preparations and concepts, then suddenly swiped away from mysterious forces who apparently don't want competition? A 1% fee sounds good in the first moment but imo it's not a strong enough mitigation mechanism, especially not for those convincing the voters with populism, exclusivity or blurry promises. (Yes they are a frequent thing) I would expect the 1% fee becoming a default cost , simply because it's all coming from the treasury and as such it is seen by far too many as free (not me, not you pay for) money. I have an idea for a powerful game-theoretic mechanism, that will enforce players to think , describe and calculate their proposals very² carefully. But I'm not sure anymore if such game-theory and scientific fundaments are even wanted in Cardano's governance (anyone can spot it anywhere?) and - ad you can easily read from my lines - I'm still _deeply_ disgusted and disappointed by what happened in Intersect's Board in regards of the TSC. That experience has destroyed a huge part of what would be required to believe in Cardano governance. A % fee here or rephrased constitution sentence there will not help us to make the much more significant required steps that would allow us converting treasury into proper counter value. – at Arkadi, Greece
Someone needs to say it

Hey community, i don't do this often, but i need your support on this. 🙏 github.com/gitmachtl/cardano… It would mean a lot to me if you could support me with a nomination for this years Cardano Summit Award 2025. In the last couple of years i have put a lot of time into building stuff on Cardano with the goal to help and support other Users, SPOs, Devs and Applications. With tools like Cardano-Signer, the SPO-Scripts or various CIPs like Messages for Cardano-Transactions or Calidus-Keys. You can find informations about me and some projects on this little page here: github.com/gitmachtl/cardano… It would be awesome if you could find 3 mins to read thru that and to fill out the nomination form on this website: summit.cardano.org/page/5108… Thank you very much guys! 😍 Best regards, Martin

Mesh SDK is now powered by IOG's cardano-sdk 100% TypeScript, no WebAssembly! Why this matters: ✅ Build on Cardano on any frontend framework ✅ No polyfills or WebAssembly headaches—just npm install and go! Need server-side performance? Use core-csl for WASM. Currently in beta, try it: 1.9.0-beta.0

Idea - Let’s submit funding requests to CF directly from now onwards. They will vet and approve the funding. Pros - community saves money and time both by removing proposal reviewers, no rewards to reviewers, and proposers dont have to promote their projects. Win win 😁

CIP-129 was a great example of the CIP process bringing many builders together to create a better standard for Cardano. awesome work from @ashisherc and all those who contributed @ATADA_Stakepool @olaahlman @RdLrTOfficial (+ many more)
CIP-129 was merged today! 🥳🎉 Thanks to everyone involved in that CIP process, it really showed that the process is working. CIP-129 is already supported by most of your known tools, it combines the regular `drep` and a script based `drep_script` under one simple `drep` prefix. Same goes for the Constitutional Committee. Also, CIP-129 brings a more user friendly readable governance action bech version `gov_action`. The older CIP-105 is still a valid format, don't worry. The newer CIP-129 just brings some handy new formats. Ask your prefered DRep about his CIP-129 drep address. Or use one of the community tools, most of them already show both variants. If your favorite governance enabled tool does not support CIP-129 yet, please let the developers know. Implementation is straight forward and pretty easy.

Intersect claims that withdrawing tons of rewards is good bcoz it supplements treasury, but that's not good. The Reserves end up depleting faster, and the treasury would anyways grow as it is without extra staked ADA. Here's the breakdown 🧵 references at the end.

Since the Treasury ADA pot was not staked, the rewards which were withdrawn from the reserves pot initially are added BACK TO THE RESERVES. If Intersect starts staking this huge ADA wallet, these rewards will now be paid to the Intersect wallet, and deplet the reserves faster!!
