Our investigators filmed the former Norfolk pig farm worker striking pigs with a pitchfork, kicking them and hitting them with a plastic pipe. He pleaded guilty to eight animal welfare offences. His sentence: 🔸 17 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months 🔸 A £1,654 fine 🔸 A 10-year ban on keeping or working with farm animals The prison sentence is suspended. Unless he offends again in the next 18 months, he’s unlikely to spend a single day behind bars. This is a step towards accountability, but it can’t undo what these pigs went through.
