It was on this day that I earned a deep trust with Skamp! She finally allowed me to pet her. 💕🐿 #squirrel #FriendsForever
I haven't posted in years but I still feed #squirrels and have to share my first rescue! Cleft here has malocclusion and rehabber Jill took him knowing full well he might be unreleasable and is tight on resources.

Hey guys i set up a GOFUNDME for Pooh.
She is getting stronger every day so now we need some $$ to take her down to Florida for an operation.

I know you guys have been waiting for an update on Pooh w her wheelchair so here it is.
I replaced the thin velcro bands w a single leather strap & it worked tons better. Now that she has had a taste of freedom she is being way more active.
We are not completely out of the woods yet but this is progress & im happy.
Today she snuck out of the room by dragging herself across the carpet & ended up by the porch door to get some fresh air and sunshine. Im really hoping i can get back to work soon. Im gonna rearrange the room to give her a bigger area to roam around when im not home

This isn't my usual type of post so please indulge me.
I just ordered lunch for takeout. It came with a side of fries.
When I picked the very first one up, I saw a squirrel hair.
I see you, Buddy. I see you. ❤️ 🌈
Have not posted in a while (yes still feed squirrels!) but wanted to say this sweet boy of 20 years has moved on today.
Give your fur babies a lil extra love and remember we are their whole world.
Until we meet again, Simon 💞

It's #FrenchFryFriday!
(For newer followers, Peanut is a 10 year old blind squirrel. She is licensed as an educational ambassador and a permanent resident here.)

It's going to be a great #Sciuridae for nut gathering!
On #Sciuridae, remember that you cannot file your #squirreltax jointly. Everyone owes us nuts.
Every day is #Sciuridae!

On #Sciuridae, take time to reflect on all the nuts you've found & all the ones you will find.
