519,000+ mail-in ballots in this Alberta referendum. In 2023 it was barely 51,000. There are nearly 600,000 temporary and permanent residents in this province who are not citizens and cannot legally vote. Elections Alberta does not require proof of citizenship for mail-in or in-person voting. Name and address is enough. They take your word for it.
We used to run elections on the assumption that people would not try to game the system. That assumption is dead. High non-citizen numbers, massive mail-in expansion, and high-stakes questions about Alberta’s future and immigration do not mix with an honour system.
Albertans just voted yes on requiring actual proof of citizenship to vote (passport, birth certificate, citizenship card). The people spoke. The system still runs on declarations and hope.
For my nine grandchildren, this is not abstract. Loose rules plus zero trust equals stolen futures. Tighten it. Prove citizenship. Cut the mail-in free-for-all. Or stop pretending the results are clean.

The majority (certainly not all) of those who took the jab were ignorant, misinformed, hateful, cruel etc. This cannot be denied.
However, nobody deserved to be duped, nobody deserves to be sick/ill. Even though many of them wished those who didn't take the shot to die, rubbing their mistake in their faces when they are sick, vulnerable and filled with regret, would make those who didn't take the shot just as mean and hateful as they were.
All of the anger over covid is 100% misplaced on the people regardless of whether or not they took the jab.
The proper place for that anger is with the government, the psychopaths like Bill Gates, the AMA, the CDC, the NIH etc. They are the ones who deserve unrelenting anger.

This is the inevitable consequence of 'free' state-controlled healthcare. An individual suffering from a catastrophic brain injury that was being taken care of by their parents in their home was ordered by the state to be forcibly moved to a care home against the wishes of the parents.
It was supposed to be temporary but he was never allowed to return home. There his health deteriorated considerably, experiencing 5 emergency hospitalizations within a few weeks for infections and sepsis.
Now, despite the family and their doctor showing evidence that the patient is not in pain or distress and has shown conscious awareness in the form of physical and emotional reaction to his parents talking to him despite the sedatives, the state has ordered the withdrawal of food and water from the patient and to allow him to die.
The state has also put draconian reporting restrictions on this case to prevent the news from covering it until after the patient has died. The parents are fighting to keep their son alive, all they want is to take him home and care for him themselves, but the state refuses to allow this and is punishing them and anyone else who attempts to report on what the state is doing.
This is what happens when you put the state in charge of your health. This will always be the result. They make decisions based on what makes sense for the system, not what makes sense for you. Just take a look at Canada and it's MAID-mania. Forcing euthanasia unprompted onto unwilling patients makes no sense from a healthcare perspective unless you factor in the state trying to be more efficient with its limited resources. It is the inevitable result of 'free' healthcare.
Free healthcare comes with a cost, and that cost is your agency, your time, your health, and your life.

I was a Palliative care nurse yrs ago. We provided a wonderful service. I never had one pt who wanted to die after terminal dx. They looked forward to spending as much time as possible on earth with family. Their symptoms and pain were managed very well. I support you 💯%.
