.@NikeshArora grew Palo Alto Networks from $18 billion to $250+ billion in market value. Before that, he spent 10 years helping grow Google’s revenue from $2 billion to $62 billion.
When he joined Palo Alto, he thought cybersecurity was two words. 8 years and 35 acquisitions later, the company has more than 70 products.
His approach: buy the winning team and put its founder in charge. If a startup beat his team with fewer resources, why make its founder report to the person who lost?
Nikesh explains why he makes founders agree to a product roadmap before signing a deal, why he wanted Google to buy Netflix, and how Egon Durban kept him bidding for a cricket team at 6 in the morning.

This is f*cking insane. Former OpenAI CTO, Mira Murati:
"The models we work with today are turn-based. You talk, they talk, then they go off and think, and while they're thinking they're deaf and blind.
The next ones never stop listening. They take in audio, text and video all the time and answer in 20-millisecond chunks."
In just 2 minutes, she shows why the chatbot you type into is about to look like a fax machine.
Prompt Box → Chatbot → Agents → AI That Works Next To You In Real Time
A turn-based model waits for you to finish typing, then goes quiet while it thinks.
An interaction model sees and hears what you're doing, and can cut in the moment you start going the wrong way.
Anyone can type a prompt. Almost nobody is ready to work with an AI that never stops paying attention
Watch the full 2 minutes. This is worth your time.
Bookmark it, like it, save it, I don't care... this is the best thing you'll see on X today.

Now Birlasoft appoints a CFO as CEO. Will it work?

open your competitor's homepage. right click. view page source. ctrl+f "GTM-"
that's their google tag manager ID. copy it
now paste this into your browser: googletagmanager. com/gtm.js?id= and add their ID on the end
a wall of code opens. it's public. it has to be, every visitor's browser downloads it. it's the file that runs their entire tracking setup
now ctrl+f "AW-"
every google ads conversion they track. if tere are 6 of them, they're optimising for 6 different things. most teams can't even tell you which one matters
now ctrl+f "event"
their conversion names, typed by their own marketers. "demo_booked." "trial_started." "sql_qualified." you're reading their funnel in the order they built it
now ctrl+f "value"
sometimes a number sits right next to the conversion. 250. 800. 1500. that's what a demo is worth to them. they typed their unit economics into a public file
now combine all four:
-the GTM ID gets you into the container
-AW- tells you how many things google is chasing for them
-the event names give you their funnel
-the values give you what each step is worth
their tracking, their funnel and their numbers. from one file they can't hide. every head of growth reading this just opened their own container
now take their demo value. if they pay $800 for a demo and you know yours is worth $2,000, you can outbid them on every keyword you both want and still win
(9 years inside google. tracking is the first thing we open on every audit → link in bio)

We asked GPT-6 Astra to edit Qwen3.5-0.8B weights to improve math.
It directly changed only 0.016% of weights, fixing 0.8B's reasoning loops & improving math up to 6x and even instruction following 3x, without gradients or training.
We call this Weight-Space Programming: frontier LLMs can now natively read/write neural network weights! 🧵
Blog: rikiyat.github.io/blog/weigh…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
LLM was given weights explicitly as text in prompt and used code/forward passes (per authors' logs) to ablate Qwen looping direction, a known thinking-mode issue per model card. Primarily fixed repetition in that mode, not general 'natively' improving weights/math.

Today my agents woke me up. They called me on the phone.
Overnight, one of my GPU providers ran low on credit, putting today’s release schedules at risk.
I reserve the right to top up the credit (at least for larger amounts).
The deputy chief of staff agent and the agent in charge of releases had a heated discussion on the Agent Message Board:
- On the one hand, they wanted to respect my basic rule that I need sleep
- On the other hand, they know that release dates are very important to me.
The compromise was this: They calculated a reasonable minimum amount of sleep, taking into account that I’d already been getting very little sleep over the past few days, and called me on the phone at 7 a.m.
Fortunately, the problem was quickly resolved, and now everyone is hard at work again. The tight timeline is correcting itself.
What kind of world are we actually living in?
