Thanks Brandel..Having been to @OmniPGAFrisco on several occasions to photograph both courses I'm really looking forward to to next years @PGAChampionship I was there in the spring and can vouch for the wind and humidity 🤪
Next year’s @PGAChampionship will be played at @OmniPGAFrisco east course designed by Gil Hanse. I was in Dallas this past week visiting my parents so I went out to take a look in preparation for the 2027 PGA.
For North Texas prairie land, the property has interesting land features. With almost 100 feet elevation change and Panther Creek meandering through the course, every hole was memorable.
Spring time in Texas means the players will have to deal with likely strong winds and hot humid conditions. With a type of Bermuda grass that is quick to come out of dormant season, the fairways will be superb and the rough will be punishing and the greens will be slippery.
I know this course has received a lot of criticism and up against the roster of major venues next year of Augusta, Pebble Beach and St. Andrews won’t help, but I thought this was brillant work by Gil Hanse.
