Hey, so, don't tell anyone, but I'm announcing PalmPilot emulation at Internet Archive for the holidays, probably next week. All the currently-working items need descriptions, so it's not quite ready. Don't tell anybody, OK? archive.org/details/software…

This is the cancer that affects a lot of technology from the 1970s onward - a push for high priests as soon as it is feasible to, to tell people they're not good enough, and then everybody making things is the Same Kind of Person and we start locking out/forgetting others.

p.s. check out this AWESOME @AllHandsActive shirt @IShJR sent me!!!! My old stomping grounds, becoming a fixture in the online tech scene. You can support their fundraiser here: gofundme.com/f/AHA-2021
Alex's torso is shown. She holds open a chunky grey cardigan to show a navy blue T-shirt with the collar cut out, with a yellow design saying "AHA / ALLHANDSACTIVE.ORG", plus a grey wind-up rhino breathing fire. In the outer ring, it says "ANN ARBOR'S MAKERSPACE" and "EST 2009". She's also wearing some bone conduction headphones around her neck.

If you're local to Ann Arbor, or one of the many friends who I've told about AHA that's a bit further away, please consider giving what you can. AHA is home to a bunch of wonderful people who really just want to help the community to feel empowered to make and fix things.

Tonight at 7pm Eastern, it's the a2retrotech.com meetup! We'll be focusing on Apple II stuff in preparation for @kansasfest and have two Apple II+s to diagnose! It should be a lot of fun - hope to see you there! #apple2 #retro
