Wei Wuxian has finally formed a new golden core. The sword is back in his hand. 🌕⚔️🍶 From the night their swords first crossed beneath the moon to flying side by side above the Mid-Autumn lights—after all these years, they are still WangXian. #WangXian #MDZS #忘羨

From the original MDZS novel — the drunk Lan Wangji “listen to the heartbeat” scene. 🩵❤️ Wei Ying, his face gives nothing away… but his heartbeat gives his love away. ❤️ 🎧 Audio: Official Audio Drama 🎬 Fan animation: WangXian Digital Revival Project #WangXian #MDZS #忘羨

In the original novel, Lan Wangji doesn’t really look drunk at all. He still appears as calm and composed as ever, so that’s how I portrayed him. To me, the biggest difference is in his behavior. He’s less reserved and more direct in both his words and actions.

He can also be surprisingly childlike and obedient, but only when he wants to be.🤣 Such an adorable contrast! 😄

What if WangXian eventually manifested their own spiritual forms? After Wei Wuxian formed a new high-grade golden core, I imagine they kept cultivating side by side and growing stronger together. White Dragon Lan Wangji 🐉 × Vermilion Bird Wei Wuxian 🐦‍🔥 #MDZS #WangXian

Ten years ago, MXTX said that Wei Wuxian would eventually rebuild his golden core with Lan Wangji’s help. Ten years later, her original vision remains unchanged—and has finally come true. 🥹❤️ Thank you, MXTX, for giving them the future you always envisioned for them.

MXTX: That’s right. Mo Xuanyu hasn’t formed a golden core yet. His natural aptitude is fairly average. He… well… but don’t worry. Lan-er-gege will do everything he can to help him form one. (Her interview in 2016, ten years ago)

MXTX: No matter the difference in natural talent, true love will overcome it. So talent won’t be a problem.

Just a little setting note 😊This animation takes place at one of the Gusu Lan Clan’s quiet summer villas. In the post-canon extra chapters of the original novel, it’s mentioned that the Lan Clan owns residences outside Gusu, where WangXian occasionally stay after their marriage.
