My schnazzy outfit (complete with dog hair) for New Years. On tonight’s menu: bbq meatballs & tater tots. We usually go out to dinner to celebrate my hubs sobriety. 25 years this year. A dinner out was not in the cards. That’s ok. We are rewatching a favorite movie together.
I just took a nap and my Wesley showed up. It’s been so long since I’ve heard him say I love you mom. I just can’t fathom this. Even still I just can’t fathom why. I’m dying. I’m dead. I just keep breathing.
I miss my son so much. This year I think I’m more aware of what’s going on around me so I think, surprisingly, I’m feeling his loss even more than last year. His 6 month old baby, his 5 year old daughter… they bring me some solace but I still anguish in this sorrow.
