It was wonderful to revisit the incredible work of Samantha Williams-Chapelsky - @artSWC - during a tour of her exhibition, Across Alberta: Paintings by the 2024-25 Alberta Artist in Residence, at the Alberta Foundation for the Arts - @AFA1991 - art house. 🎨 During her residency, Samantha created 108 plein air paintings across Alberta, capturing the province’s stunning landscapes. This exhibition features a selection of those works alongside studio pieces, showcasing the talent, vision and dedication of Alberta’s artists. It was inspiring to see Samantha’s art on full display and celebrate her remarkable contributions as Alberta’s fifth Artist in Residence. #ABArts #ArtistInResidence #ABpoli

As The Feminine Landscape exhibition draws to a close, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of the five talented Edmonton-area women artists who shared their unique artistic practices with us. This includes Samantha Williams-Chapelsky - @artSWC , Alberta’s current Artist in Residence and Arts Ambassador, whose stunning Plein Air landscapes added a powerful voice to the exhibition. Alongside Samantha, Alyson Davies, Ashley Thimot, @crystaldriedger and @janet_sutanto brought their vibrant works to life in the Community Gallery Space, making this exhibition a truly memorable experience. @yourAGA is proud to support local artists and provide a platform for such inspiring creativity. A huge thank you to all who visited and engaged with this exceptional showcase of Alberta’s artistic talent. #TheFeminineLandscape #ArtistInResidence #AGAexhibitions #AlbertaArtists #WomenInArt

Last week I had the honour of being invited for a personal tour of the Artist in Residence by the talented @artSWC and her solo exhibit, Feeling Colour, at the @McMullenGallery ! It was a breathtaking experience, capturing the beauty of Alberta’s landscapes while using the power of colour and nature to inspire, calm and renew. I am grateful that many Albertan’s had the pleasure of viewing such an inspiring collection during its time displayed and I am excited to see where these paintings and this talented artist will be off to next!
