We as fans need to stop worrying about whether our transfers optically make financial sense.
Too many unknowns and compounding factors.
I'm just pleased we have a club that's now dead serious about winning. – at Poplar, London

Bruno G and Konsa are the type of signings Fergie's Man Utd would make. Pay premiums on low-risk.

UCL R16 over 2 legs: Spurs concede 7, and counting. Newcastle 7. City 5. Chelsea 8.
But its Arsenal’s ability to score from set pieces that everyone wants to talk about 🙃 #ucl

Being made out like we play absolutely dross football. Put 4 past Spurs x2, Villa, Leeds (5 in the home game) & Atletico. 3 past Bayern (!), Inter away, Chelsea away, Forest, B’mouth away, Forest & others, season isn’t even finished.

Bentley played 137 times for Bristol City before he joined Wolves last year. My mate's a BC fan, his words at Arsenal's links:
"An utterly bizarre promotion through the ranks. He was ok in the Championship."
This surely must be a 3rd choice/ training resource signing.
🚨 Arsenal contact Wolves to express interest in signing Dan Bentley. 30yo goalkeeper identified by #AFC as back-up option - homegrown + great character. #WWFC would only sell if suitable bid lands so they can reinvest @TheAthleticFC after @reluctantnicko nytimes.com/athletic/5622313…

Random kids being transferred between a network of PSR struggling clubs for totally ridiculous transfer fees.
Not even making an effort to hide it and why would they? They're not breaking any rules.
The whole thing is a farce.

Watching Italy v Spain in a little box-parky vibe place in Turin.
The passion is incredible but they just lack the accents and linguistics to sound loutish. Shouting "Bella!" whenever someone makes a crunching tackle just hasn't got the same effect.

It's a seriously tricky first few months of fixtures, lots of big aways: Villa, Spurs, City, Chelsea, Newcastle away games all done by 9th Nov.
But imo MUCH better this way than having them in 2nd half.
Very good fixture sequence overall. Obv reschedules could screw it up.

Arsenal are now exceptional at executing against a squad building strategy whilst remaining agile to opportunities. I have zero concerns with any noise around missing targets.
We'll get the right business done and if we can't, we won't panic buy. It's the right approach. – at Poplar, London

Enzo Maresca is far more of a Pep disciple than Arteta is.
Marersca won the league but with the most expensive squad whilst breaching PSR rules.
Plus he's also bald.

Rarely does Arteta speak publicly about recruitment needs in such specificity.
What benefit is it for the market (or even your current squad) to know what you think your weaknesses are? It's only detrimental to your negotiating position surely.
🚨 Erik ten Hag to @VI_nl: “We need to sign an extra striker in the summer”.
“And if we can sign another central midfielder and a replacement for Varane, things will look good again”.
“If the team remains fit we can try and aim for top 4 again”.

Quansah, Brainthwaite, Guehi, Colwill - can make arguments for all of them to make the England squad but none of them come close to Ben White this season. A shame he won’t be recognised on the international stage, but a proper rest this summer is only a good thing for Arsenal.
