day 1 of getting unmute to 1,000 users. in public. i'm arpit. 150 followers, building unmute from bengaluru. unmute is the simplest way to work with claude code and codex. i think you should be able to spin up and talk to your claude code sessions from anywhere on your mac, not just the terminal. product's built. now the hard part: getting people to care. every day i'll post what i tried, what worked, what flopped. real numbers. starting at 5 users

RIP Wispr Flow…
We just killed Wispr Flow. Everything it does, Unmute does:
 ✅ Dictation
✅ Meeting notes ☑️ Then the part they never built: say it, and Claude Code or Codex does the work. When it needs you, it comes to you. Wispr Flow: $15/mo.
Unmute: $7.99/mo. RIP dictation apps (2019–2026).

Cracked team!
today we're opening @DetectIfAI to every developer. real-time voice deepfake detection, 24 ms per check. #1 in latency on Podonos' independent benchmark, ahead of companies that raised hundreds of millions. 97.3% of cloned voices caught. API + MCP. link in the comments.

AI video is great until you need the same car, the same camera angle and the same trail across 10 shots. So we start from 3D. Block it out in Mixar, lock the scene, then render the look. Consistent shots because the scene is real.

This is crazy…
🚨 BREAKING: Wispr Flow is not a voice interface. It’s a keyboard with a microphone. You talk. It types. Then you still do all the work. Unmute: tap a key, say it, and Claude Code or Codex starts on it. When it needs you, it comes to you. Wherever you are on your Mac. Wispr Flow: ~$12/mo for dictation.
Unmute: $7.99/mo. Dictation + your agents. Pick a side.

what would you hand your agent if starting it took one key

claude code or codex for your main work? no "both" allowed

week 1 lesson: nobody cares about your product. they care about the problem you name

claude max vs codex after paying for both. the honest version 🧵 1/ until 2 weeks ago i used them about equally. not by choice. claude's limit kept running out so codex picked up the rest 2/ last 2 weeks codex barely gets touched. claude max does almost everything. opus 5.5 for big tasks, sonnet 5.5 for small ones 3/ what helps: stop sending small stuff to opus. sonnet handles it fine and the 5 hour limit lasts way longer 4/ codex is now my backup for when claude runs out 5/ if you can only pay for one: claude max

people think AI is about saving time. i think it's about how often you reach for it. the easier it is to reach, the more you use it. that's where the value is

my setup for running claude code all day: - macbook air + one external monitor. that's it - claude max. opus for big stuff, sonnet for small - codex only when claude hits the limit - one task per session, named so i can find it again - never hunting for the terminal. sessions start from whatever app i'm in

day 6: 5 users. studied 6 accounts that went from nothing to thousands of followers fast. they all did the same 3 things: - picked one small crowd and showed up there daily - told a story people could follow - posted their face, not just their product so that's what this whole day 1, day 2 thing is lol
19
subagents are cool but i'd trade them all for an agent that just tells me when it's stuck

what's the one thing you still don't let your agent touch?

every claude code command i actually use, ranked: 1. /model opusplan - opus plans, sonnet builds 2. /clear - new task, new chat 3. /compact - switching topics mid-chat 4. /autocompact - so long sessions don't eat the limit 5. /advisor - opus on call while sonnet drives bookmark it, it'll change in 3 weeks lol
