i wouldn’t recommend a beginner creator spend $2–3k going to a major crypto event just because “everyone will be there.”
before booking that flight, you should know exactly what you’re going there to do.
because the biggest deals, partnerships and opportunities usually aren’t happening on the main stage.
they happen in the 1/1s, private dinners, side events and random rooms where the right people happen to be.
if you’re going with no network, no meetings and no plan, you might spend $3k just to collect a conference badge and a bunch of selfies.
go when you actually have a reason to be there.
that’s when these events start making sense.

Interesting trends from this batch and over the last year
We’re seeing more founders building on Canton, specifically in areas targeting institutional traders.
Compute is being financialized and brought onchain, especially GPUs and inference.
Physical AI is accelerating and there’s a broader shift from bits -> atoms, with founders taking on more personal and technical risk to solve real world problems.
Energy is becoming part of this same stack solar, batteries, storage, and the infrastructure around powering compute and the physical world.
We’ve already seen 4 acquisitions from our founders this year, specifically around prediction market infra and compute, as larger players are entering our markets.
It feels like we’re speed running the tokenization of everything financial assets, compute, GPUs, and energy
And we’re seeing more founders get term sheets immediately before or after Demo Day.
