Remember when we all thought the 15/445 extension the Nationals offered Soto in 2022 seemed relatively fair? Times have sure changed.
Good result today, but I don’t understand why the Jays consistently use all their bench players at once instead of rotating their bench guys in sporadically.
I didn’t know until just now that I wanted Mark Canha to be a Blue Jay in 2024. And now I’m sad that he won’t be.
Kirk’s framing today has been impeccable. He’s been incredible behind the plate today at all faucets.
Ryan Gosling trying to sound like Rob Thomas is one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a long time.
Barbie was a LOT of fun.
People are saying yes to this? Look, I love Ohtani (who wouldn’t), but he’s a FA in two and a half months. Mortgaging your future for a rental isn’t something the Jays need to do, or should do. This also leaves the Jays with a LF, with 2 DH, and with 7 SP.
I think we can all agree the Jays have underperformed. And yet. They have 5 all stars. And are currently in a play-offs. That should give us hope for the second half of the season, in my estimation.
Went to the game with a season ticket holder friend of mine. Eerie quiet for a close game with a sold out crowd. My friend’s summation after the loss; “at least I’ll save money on playoff tickets”
It’s that kind of season.
