Considering switching from rollup to esbuild... Moving cautiously because so far esbuild's performance is so good that it feels like there's a catch...
According to the C99 spec, hexfloats mix base 2, 10 and 16 in one single number representation (hex digits + a power of 2 exponent expressed in base 10)

Today's is JRR Tolkien's birthday.
I added a special landing page to tecendil.com to celebrate.

Hey @github , I have been locked out of my repo for a few weeks now. I've contacted support, but no movement (ticket #663688). Could someone check on it?
PS: the problem is caused by a change you've made to the code validating submodules.
By popular demand, MathLive now includes an onError listener to report syntax errors in the Latex input...

WIP: Migrating MathLive to TypeScript (about 35 kloc). Found a few bugs that way (mostly typos in property names). Neat!
Tecendil now features an Italian mode. If you ever wanted to transcribe Italian to the Tengwar from Lord of the Rings, here's your chance.
Many thanks to Guido Laudenzi (instagram.com/guido_laudenzi…) from Spoleto, Italy!

MathLive v0.35 available now.
12% smaller *and* support for extensible/stretchy symbols, such as arrows, lines, braces, accents, etc...
This work has been made possible thanks to the generous support of Klett, a textbook publisher from Croatia.

RIP Larry Tesler, a man who was kind, patient, enthusiastic and who had more influence on the UI of modern computers than probably anyone else (he invented cut/copy/paste, undo, text selection and more...). #nomodes

That new JetBrains Mono font is pretty sweet. It has both ligatures *and* italics 👍 Rare to have both in a coding font.

Some of my favorite pics of 2019... From the Yosemite firefall to the waterfall of Milford Sound, the glaciers of Alaska, the crater lakes of Oregon and the CA coast...
Yes, why doesn't it, @grorgwork ? I'm annoyed to have to do "navigator.hardwareConcurrency || 8" (bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi…)
