Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component

A nice milestone from @nollahealth (and @Utahgov), following the success of @Doctronic's prescription renewal pilot.
Doctronic has been renewing prescriptions from a set list, mostly with no physician review for most of a year. Nolla expands what's happening, potentially, to allow prescription (not just renewal) of acne meds without physician review (after the first 100 prescriptions pass review).
Adapalene 0.1% has been OTC since 2016. Epiduo (adapalene 0.1% / benzoyl peroxide 2.5%) went OTC this spring. Nolla charges $4.99 for evaluation, diagnosis, and followup — all by AI.
Just acne, but it's pretty clearly not going to stay with acne.

It would be semi-ironic if the "GPT moment for robotics" is... just GPT lol.
GPT-6 Astra can solve some seriously tricky spatial constraint tasks: from unlocking interlocked parts to threading a rope through three rings.

I just heard: a large company is moving from GChat (Google's Chat product) to Slack, because... Slack has much better agent operability (true)
Who thought AI+agents would be a big selling point for Slack? Or that Google would sleep on agents + GChat!

every business is about to face agents on their doorstep (where doorstep = site, app, api, mcp, cli, api)
@stripe can help you make your business discoverable and purchasable by agents in a verified (agent and consumer identity), safe (radar scores), and compliant way (tax, etc)

I guess it's all relative: at $3500 @Apple Vision Pro is seen as a very expensive consumer toy (and a dud in sales) — but as the primary display in endoscopic lacrimal surgery: it's super cheap!
Less than 1% the cost of standard OR visualization gear, in fact.
Study finds using the Vision Pro led to 19% faster procedures, zero problems, and every surgeon preferred it to what they'd used before.
Did I mention it's cheaper?
Classic sustaining innovation. Healthcare getting better. And the usual incisive analysis by @asymco.

Do OpenAI's product analytics show that people understand how to use those sliders?
I'm pretty experienced with LLMs and I basically leave it on xhigh for everything, and I'm not sure when I would want to change it

LLMs are insufficiently lazy. If a human sees 1000 problems to solve, they would procrastinate for ages and think of a clean abstraction to solve. If an LLM sees 1000 problems, it proceeds to solve each one in a unique way without discovering anything useful in the problem space

A kid will quit a math app in 6 minutes, but grind Factorio for 6 hours.
The math app has more points, badges, and streaks. Factorio has none.

Another hack I use for open-ended goals is:
/goal
1. Make a report file
2. Generate 100 ideas to improve <benchmark>
3. Try them all
4. Only accept those that <constraints>
5. After trying all, if any accepted, go back to step 2, else exit

Only one chance in this lifetime…
Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him.
I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.
