MKBHD says most people should skip Apple's $2,000 iPhone Duo after testing it for over a week 👀 What he didn't like: – Thick and heavy, Galaxy Z Fold 8 is about 20% lighter – Cameras: 48MP main + ultrawide, no zoom, no ProRes or Log, closer to iPhone 17e quality – Under-display selfie camera photos are "trash" – No Face ID, and the fingerprint unlock has a built-in delay – Most apps not optimized yet (Spotify, Google Maps, Discord, X), he expects around 6 months What he liked: – 7.6-inch 120Hz inner OLED with nano-texture, crease almost invisible, "the hardware highlight" – Very solid hinge with variable weight, plus IP68 – ~4,900mAh battery, all-day phone, often ending the day with 30%+ left – Two apps side by side and the open/close animations His verdict: if you mostly text, scroll social media or want the best camera, skip it. If $2,000 doesn't matter and you want a pocket iPad mini, it's made for you.
