"i just hope people don’t turn this into another hiring benchmark." people WILL turn it into a hiring benchmark. just waiting for some BLR startup bro (/sis) to ask for a mandatory Wes Anderson pitch for a PM intern role. juuuuuuuuuuust wait. i give it couple of weeks, tops.

I'm fascinated by the rise of frictionmaxxing as a response to a frictionless life. We engineer away inconvenience, only to discover that some of the friction we removed was part of what made life feel alive in the first place
Someone could probably write a book (if they haven’t already) about the cycle of technology productizing the removal of friction in the name of convenience only for us to discover that the friction was a load-bearing part of the social compact.

life is absurd. we've got to play the cards we've been dealt. play it right, bluff a lot, check raise the hell out of everything. but never ever wish you had your opponents cards β€” they might be holding on to a laundry while you had the nuts all along.

Someone asked what was the best way to get hired by a startup. I told him it was to start one and then hire himself.

The most radical thing you can do to rebel against this emerging post-literate, brain-slop-world we are entering is read long, complicated books on a daily basis. The ability to pay attention for long periods will be one of the most valuable and rare skills of the future.
