I knew he was awesome and the WS MVP, but hot damn. This is incredible: Strasburg became the first pitcher in Major League history to finish a single postseason with a perfect 5โ€“0 record. He posted a 1.98 ERA with 47 strikeouts and just 4 walks over 36.1 innings. @Nationals๐Ÿ‘Š๐Ÿ†
People can say whatever they want, but Stephen Strasburg is arguably the best MLB postseason starting pitcher of the past 20 years. Sorting by pure statistical metrics and peak performance rather than total career length, Strasburg is at the very top. In fact, ๐—ฆ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜€ ๐Ÿญ. Strasburg Postseason Resumรฉ: -6โ€“2 record, -1.46 ERA, -0.94 WHIP, -71 strikeouts across 55.1 innings. During the Nationals' 2019 World Series championship run, Strasburg became the first pitcher in Major League history to finish a single postseason with a perfect 5โ€“0 record. He posted a 1.98 ERA with 47 strikeouts and just 4 walks over 36.1 innings. CLUTCH: Strasburg took home the 2019 World Series MVP after going 2โ€“0 with a 2.51 ERA against the Houston Astros. This included a legendary Game 6 performance where he pitched 8.1 dominant innings to save the Nats from elimination.

So, ANOTHER position group that AP has bungled for the @Commanders. He could do no wrong in his first season, but it has been disastrous outside of hitting on his first round picks. I am over both him and DQ. They need to clean house.
I don't think losing Bill is a game-changer but it's clearly not ideal. Here are some thoughts on the RB room right now. ๐Ÿˆ Bill was coming off his best game. Finally got him going with a 33-yard TD run. Bad timing on the injury and IR stint. ๐Ÿˆ There isn't another traditional ball-carrier on the team. Ekeler is injury prone and older and can't take on a starter's workload. McNichols is a change-of-pace pass catching type. White is redundant to those two stylistically but is the most capable of being a 1st and 2nd down option between the tackles but that's not something he did well in TB. ๐Ÿˆ Kaytron Allen would be interesting to have around right now. He could be a sledge hammer to compliment the three other pass-catching, shifty guys they have. Robert Henry would even be an interesting guy to have around right now because he's different than the other guys. ๐Ÿˆ I know people like to talk about Chris Rodriguez as a guy they should've kept around but Jacksonville overpaid him. He was this year's Dyami Brown. He basically makes what their three backs make combined.

Any of these lists from @RollingStone @pitchfork or @NME etc are ridiculous in their rankings, but this one is especially laughable. But I was glad to see The Strokes make the cut.
The Strokes rank as the 57th best band of all time.

I'm willing to bet my mortgage that Rod Woodson, Deion and Charles Woodson all had better @NFL DPoY seasons than Patrick Surtain, but the rest of the list looks solid. Although, I might bump Reggie White up a few spots. 21 sacks in 16 games, y'allz!

Damn, down 15 at the half & they only mustered 31 points. The @TerrapinHoops stormed back & finished regulation with 75 points. And then added 15 more to finish winning 90-81. BOOSH! That has to be a huge confidence boost to any team, but especially one with a mostly new roster
Maryland's undefeated exhibition season is in major peril. Down 46-31 to WVU at the start of the second half.

I hate to say it b/c he seems like a good guy. But he is simply not a good QB. He is roughly 50% every game. That would suck back in the 70s, but it is unacceptable in today's game. @TerpsFootball can NOT run it back with him. Blow it all up after Locks gets canned.
With todayโ€™s loss, Malik Washington is now has a 1-13 record as a starter against power four opponents.

I concur. USC and UCLA have been doing that for years and it looks awesome.
Uniform matchup in Alabama vs Tennessee is Elite. More games should do home and home jerseys

Agree & they do have a strong following despite getting zero radio air play and minimal MTV run back in their heyday. I didn't discover them until their greatest hits came out 25 or so years ago. And I loved it. My Best Of / Ideal Set List mix is loaded: open.spotify.com/playlist/3gโ€ฆ
Great band not many know about it....

I was stunned to see that Ovi is about to pass Backstrom, a PROLIFIC passer, as the assist leader in @Capitals history. And he should end up with the 2nd most HITS in @NHL history, which never gets talked about so add that to another stat he leads the franchise in. True legend.
Alex Ovechkin played a part in another comeback victory for Washington and is now within striking distance of becoming the @Capitals all-time leader in goals, assists and points. #NHLStats: bit.ly/4i8XLrm

I've said it before but any chance to repeat that Dan Snyder was fake rich, cash poor slumlord as an @NFL owner. And a weapons grade piece of shit. The @Commanders are so lucky he got himself forced to see the team. And I loved Larry Center too - he was awesome on the Skins.
This is a wild Dan Snyder story. Side note: I loved Larry Centers

I thought he was overrated based off Bang It On, which I thought was fine, but not special. Boy, was I wrong. I made a mashup of his best songs alternating w/ the most similar sounding tune from bands they influenced like Oasis, Black Keys, Supergrass etc open.spotify.com/playlist/43โ€ฆ

This is Capt. Obvious, but those @49ers teams were BEYOND loaded. Future @ProFootballHOF members at QB, WR & first RB with 1K yards rushing AND receiving, Pro Bowlers on OL and TE and the best WR2 who was also an @NFL All-198os punt returner๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ณ Bill Walsh was a drafting genius.

This is a low hanging fruit joke, but it still cracked me up. And little kid me laughed my ass at these two grumpy misanthropes. They were a genius creation with clever, hilarious writing from the great Jim Henson - a @umterps legendary alum.
"Well, she may not have lasted very long, but at least you can say she was pretty." "Yeah... pretty bad at her job!" "HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

How was there not massive hype when the @TerrapinHoops signed him? I've never heard his name, but he sounds awesome and just what they have desperately needed for years. I'm pretty sure that the last good 3-point shooter they had was Anthony Cowan. Amped for the season to start.

Good guggamugga, I had no idea that we has that freaking JACKED. And him AVERAGING a triple double in an @NBA season does not get nearly the talk that it should. Legend.
One of the all time greats, Oscar Robertson, played the tail end of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks. He partnered with Lew Alcindor to lead the franchise to a 66 win regular season in 1971 and a title by sweeping the Bullets. In his final season, the Bucks returned to the '74 Finals, only to lose to the Boston Celtics in seven games. Who is your favorite Milwaukee Buck of all time?

It's a better @Commanders roster, but they are 3 & FOURTEEN in their last full season of games๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ’ฉ๐Ÿ˜ก They are sloppy, undisciplined with tons of penalties and seriously poorly coached at the HC, OC and DC crucial posistions. DQ is RR 2.0. Blow this shit up and take AP out too!
I only get pissed when yall talk like this roster is RR bound. JD5 Bill White Terry Diggs AW14 Chig Tunsil Coleman Cosmi Conerly Settle Kinlaw Oweh Chaisson Armstrong Omenihu Luvu Josephs Sonny Amik Rasul Cross Is 5x better than what was inherited.

It is unfathomable that the @Commanders have a HC who is as bad, or maybe even worse, than Rowboat Ron at clock and TO management, but here we are. Both are defensive minded coaches whose defenses are terrible, and both were re-tread hires. No more of that nonsense.
Dan Quinn has coached 42 games for the #Commanders. Before the 10:00 mark of the 1st or 3rd quarter, so inside 5 minutes, we have used 48 timeouts. In 28 games. We have 2 or less timeouts by the 10 minute mark in 67% of our games coached by Dan Quinn. nytimes.com/athletic/7684831โ€ฆ

Fuck my face. And my ears. This would be atrocious. Not only are Pat McAfee and Jason Kelce both super annoying and WAY overexposed already, but they also have voices that are grating. I can't stand either one of them.
