Had lots of fun adding this new feature to @Onshape Render Studio for the latest release. Purely appearance based so not from G-code. While it won't be as accurate or show things like infill you can use it directly with your model to get a feeling for how it will look 3D printed.
The sticker almost makes it worth the wait for the @E3DOnline ObXidian :-)
TIL you can get fuzzy skin mode for free if you don’t dry your TPU well enough :-) was drying for quite a long time but then again was stored badly for even longer so it was probably beyond saving easily.
#10PRINT makes for great grips, inside and out :-) This was a lot of messing around with geometry to get the right result in TPU.
So a very carefully setup wBox gets displaced by a texture from a 10PRINT SVG generator I put together, then bent around the curve of the shape of the grip. It's just a hair short of closing the loop so when you put it in PrusaSlicer and set it up for vase mode, it has no travel.
This might actually be worth trekking to IMAX for! Amazing soundtrack by Clint Mansell and those SnorriCam shots. Though will be interesting to see if I can keep my lunch down watching it on a huge screen.
On 3.14, we’re bringing @DarrenAronofsky's debut film Pi back to theaters for a one-night-only 25th Anniversary @IMAX Experience.

When printing TPU85A I go to crazy lengths to try and convince the slicer not to travel between seams. Always happy when I look down a tube and see no travels. This one is actually vase mode, 1.2mm perimeters for a 2.4mm total thickness.
Anyone else frequently getting this error on @printablescom while scrolling.
My first @Prusa3D Enclosure accessory, moving my ESP32Cam in. It’s definitely nice to have so many mounting holes and tie-downs available.
I'll be presenting at our R&D Sneak Peek session at Onshape Live this year. Register at onshapelive.com/ and check out what's coming in Render Studio as well as lots of other cool Onshape developments. #onshapelive
Finally building the Prusa enclosure. I think it might actually be more complex than building the MK3 😆
It’s crazy how well the @prusament Galaxy Black filaments match the Prusa enclosure profiles. Definitely need to be printing all visible accessories in this from now on.
My @plexamp Raspberry Pi streamer is now up on @printablescom with a link to my GitHub repo with the extra software components to make the encoder work and the original Onshape designs.

Encoder goes up… encoder goes down… This took a surprising amount of code to work out, though mainly for the single, double, triple press differentiation. Sound on for clickies :-)
And now controlling @plexamp from the rotary encoder. Press for play/pause, double for next track, triple for previous and turn to scrub the timeline. Yes I have a touch screen but it’s so much quicker to hit a big tactile button to pause when you need to talk to someone.
