My post about France went viral. Thousands of likes. Many Americans told me: "Democrats aren't socialists. America will never be France." I want to answer that seriously, step by step. Start with a simple observation. Look at what has gotten cheaper in America over the last 25 years: TVs, phones, software, clothes, toys. Now look at what has exploded: college tuition, healthcare, childcare, housing. What separates the two lists? The first lives in competitive markets. The second is exactly where government is most involved: subsidies, mandates, licensing, zoning, regulation. College. Washington lends students almost unlimited money. Universities know the money will always come, so they raise tuition and hire more administrators. The student pays the bill for twenty years. More government money, higher prices. Housing. Why can't a nurse buy a home in the city where she works? Not because of capitalism. Because of zoning laws, permits, environmental reviews, years of procedure to build a single building. The most expensive places to live in America are the places where it's hardest to build. When building is nearly illegal, prices explode. Healthcare. The patient almost never sees the price. A third party pays, regulations limit who can compete, and costs climb year after year with no one able to say no. So here is the trap. The problems you suffer from are not the failure of free markets. They are the places where the market has already been replaced by the state. And the solution you're being offered is more of the same. That's the Trojan horse. It always works the same way. A real problem. A generous-sounding promise. A program that makes things worse. Then the failure of that program becomes the argument for the next one. People who lived under communism in Poland learned to recognize the lie and the mask the lie wears. The lie never presents itself as a lie. It presents itself as compassion. In France we are at the end of that road. Debt we can never repay. Young people who can't afford a home. Our best people leaving. And every few years our cities burn. Nobody voted for this. They voted for one more generous promise, fifty years in a row. If you're a Republican, share this with the Democrat in your life. Not to win an argument. To start a conversation. If you're a Democrat, I'm not asking you to switch teams. I'm asking you to look at the pattern. Wherever the state took over, life became unaffordable. Don't fix the failures of government with more government. Stay American. Ask for less state, not more.
I’m French. I want to talk to Americans who are about to vote Democrat. Not to insult you. To warn you. I come from your future. In France we did everything your progressive politicians promise. Free healthcare, free college, generous welfare, strong unions, heavy regulation, high taxes on the rich, a state that takes care of everything. Public spending close to 57% of GDP, one of the highest on the planet. On paper, it’s the dream. Here’s what it looks like from the inside. France hasn’t passed a balanced budget since 1974. Our debt is above 3,300 billion euros. Interest on that debt is becoming one of the biggest items in the national budget. Our hospitals are collapsing despite record funding. Our schools rank lower every year. Young people with degrees can’t afford an apartment in the city they were born in. Our best engineers leave for London, Zurich and San Francisco. And the rich you wanted to tax? They left too, and took the jobs with them. The promise was protection. The result is stagnation. The worst part is that nobody in France voted for decline. Every single step sounded generous, compassionate, reasonable. One more program. One more regulation. One more tax to fund it. Each step alone makes sense. Fifty years of them, and you wake up in a country that can no longer build a nuclear plant on time or keep its streets safe. I love America because it’s the one place on earth where people still believe they can build something from nothing. I came to Silicon Valley as a self-taught kid and it changed my life. That spirit is the most precious thing your country has. Before you vote, ask yourself one question: is the program you’re voting for making America more like America, or more like France? Trust me. You don’t want to be France.

Seeking the truth is not natural for humans. For most of history, and all of prehistory, agreeing with your group mattered far more for survival than being right. So it went into our nature. That is the comfort in illusions: the comfort of holding the same beliefs as everyone around you. It means you won’t be stoned or burned. Only the weird ones went looking for the truth – and they often paid dearly for it. In many societies they were weeded out of the gene pool. The safe conformists stayed. That is what makes the West so rare. It is the civilization that learned to protect its weird ones: free speech, the scientific method, the market – institutions that make being right pay more than being agreeable. Socrates still had to drink the hemlock. But eventually the West turned heresy into progress. And today, for the first time, the cost of being right is falling for everyone.
When Nietzsche said: “Most people are not seeking truth, they are searching for comfort in illusions.”

Because it was the Democrats rigging up a Reichstag fire so they could push an Enabling Act, and Americans didn't fall for it like the Germans did about ninety years earlier.
For as long as I live, I will never understand how January 6th wasn’t the end of Donald Trump. I will never, ever understand it.

I do. It's actually a really simple answer. Kids can understand it. I'll tell you the story now so you can be ready when you finally have grandkids, Mario Awful. For decades, Israelis tried to work with the Gazans, believing the impossible: that people who have declared that they want nothing more than to have Israel destroyed and Jews killed might be able to be persuaded to be friends by giving them land, money, resources, opportunities, and an infinite amount of patience. During those decades, huge amounts of humanitarian aid was sent to the Gaza Strip, which they used to militarize and to spend many years planning a savage surprise attack against the people helping them. Almost everyone in the world took up their cause, even many Israelis who lived right next door, even though the Gazans were taking advantage of all that help. They were offered everything but wouldn't accept it because all they wanted was Israel to be destroyed and Jews to be driven out or, preferably, dead. They were so fixated on that goal that nothing else mattered, and nothing else was good enough. They even used water pipes to build rockets and dug terror tunnels under their city and deep into Israeli territory to prepare for a surprise war. On an important Jewish holiday and their sabbath, the Gazans sprung their surprise attack. That was October 7, 2023. They launched over a thousand rockets at 6:30 am. The Israelis heard the sirens and knew they only had seconds to hide in their shelters from these attacks. By the way, every Israeli house has a bomb shelter in it because these kinds of attacks are so frequent. Also, every Israeli adult and child, little boys and little girls, knows from as soon as they can walk that when the sirens sound to go to the shelter because it is so important and so common. As the Israelis went, exhausted and sleepy, to their shelters to hide from the rocket attack, the Gazans sent a large armed force across the fence into Israel to do the most heinous things to the Israelis that you can imagine. Over a thousand were murdered. Things so horrible you cannot describe them to children happened everywhere. The Gazans celebrated and filmed themselves and put it on the internet, bragging and boasting about unimaginable horrors and murders. They dragged Israelis, including women, children, and babies and dead bodies, into their terror city and terror tunnels and started abusing and killing them slowly, using them and their corpses as collateral against the Israeli people and military. This lasted for over two years, with the last hostage's remains returned at the end of January 2026 after being taken in October 2023. The scale and nature of this attack is so horrific that it cannot be described politely, but its true evil wasn't just in the barbarity of its forces, which did unspeakable things to completely innocent men, women, and children everywhere they went, including many who openly supported them for years, but in how they took advantage of the trust and help they were given to do it. Gazans had spent years exploiting the goodwill of Israelis in the Gaza Envelope to gather intelligence, working as gardeners, housekeepers, taxi drivers, etc., to gather detailed intelligence of the neighborhoods and homes they would systematically attack starting on October 7. So many Israelis were betrayed at their trust and goodwill toward the Gazans, and by it. While they hid from those rockets in their shelters, Hamas terrorists systematically went through the carefully mapped streets of their neighborhoods, broke into houses, and shot them dead through the doors of their shelters, or crashed in through the walls from the outside using their own farming equipment to do it. Hamas terrorists knew the Israelis would be hiding from the rockets and knew where they'd be hiding, and they murdered them while they hid, deliberately, planned out in advance and for years. These people weren't just Israelis or Jews. They were innocents. In fact, as far as it goes, many of them were the greatest champions for the Gazans in Israel. Didn't matter. They were Israelis. They were Jews. They had to die in the most horrible ways you can think of. They had to be desecrated. They had to be taken hostage. It all had to be celebrated on video streamed live onto the internet to excite their radical friends around the region and the world. The horror is actually incomprehensible. Had this happened to Americans in the United States from one of its neighbors, the response Americans would have demanded cannot actually be comprehended. I stand in awe at how restrained and cautious and decent and good the Israelis have been, and it is to my slight embarrassment knowing that our own people, our own forces, wouldn't have managed a fraction of that decency, however much we would match the unparalleled effectiveness of these operations. That is, Mario Awful, I don't f*cking want to hear it, and neither do your grandkids. Respect them enough not to soil their minds with these lies, which are so evil that Hell itself would be slightly embarrassed to spread them. So, when Israel realized what had happened to them, what was still happening to them, how their trust, support, and patience had been taken advantage of in the nastiest and cruelest way human beings can possibly imagine, for zero good reasons and only unbelievably evil ones, they set out to make sure it would never happen again. They started a war of rescue and to end the military capacities of the Gazans, who were and still are governed by a radical terrorist group that even has in their charter that they want every Israeli driven out and every Jew that can be killed dead. Israel waged a patient war with the highest accuracy rate of any in the entire history of urban warfare, taking great pains and many casualties to spare innocent life, even when that innocent life openly supports the terror regime that governs them and wants them dead. The Gazans, however, had spent decades turning their entire city into a hidden military fortress, hiding weapons, entrances to terror tunnels, command centers, and every conceivable military target within civilian neighborhoods, including even homes, schools, hospitals, and houses of worship. Israel did what it had to do as carefully as it could be done. The devastation you see is the result of the evil of Hamas and the Gazans who support it having spent decades organizing their city to become a vast, sprawling military installation. The Gazans and their terrorist leaders took this organizational approach specifically for two reasons. One was to deter Israel from ever attacking or disabling their military installations at all. Even when the devastation seen here, that remained the case. Israel took great pains to minimize, including casualties, including complicated legal approvals, including warning both civilians and combatants in Gaza of incoming attacks against the installations, trying to save all innocent (and a lot of not-so-innocent) life. Another was to produce this propaganda, which Mario Awful, after having his account built to giant size by @elonmusk himself, spreads and promotes with foolish emotion-driven emojis and devastating lies of omission of these facts. Even as Israel dismantled the entire military capacity of Gaza bit by bit (which is what you see in the video here), they sent aid: more food, medicine, and other supplies than have ever been sent to a population controlled by an enemy military in the history of warfare, period. The terrorist leaders leveraged every bit of it against them, stealing it and starving their own people, creating propaganda campaigns about genocide and forced starvation, and even building more rockets out of raw materials including water pipes, which they then fired at Israel. Bit by bit, Israel dismantled as much of their military apparatus as they could and rescued or recovered all of their hostages, including among them Americans. The result is what you see. The result you see below is the most painstakingly moderate response a decent human being of even the slightest comprehension could possibly imagine, and yet that's what the Israelis have accomplished in Gaza. And they accomplished it while the world hated them for it, scrutinized everything not just for any legitimate breaches of perfection but for a litany of illegitimate accusations of things so voluminous that they could not even be recorded, except that they were in the relentless propaganda of social media, the global enemy propaganda channels, and even the mainstream press, almost all amplified and repeated by even allegedly good, decent conservatives who found these lies a perfect reason either to reveal their underlying but hidden hatred for Jews or to turn to that evil on false pretenses you are promoting, even now, even today. So when you sit down to tell your grandkids how humanity allowed Gaza to happen, tell them the real story. Humanity allowed Gaza to become a terrorist militarized city openly dedicated to the destruction of Israel and the murder and desecration of Jews and Jewish bodies by believing in some asinine humanitarian concept that defies all logic. It happened by creating a global political situation that, for reasons of Communist political correctness and soft-hearted and softer-headed compassion, refused to believe the simple reality of the situation. It happened because this delusion and misplaced trust persisted for decades while Hamas and its supporters turned Gaza into a terrorist military outpost that would simply have to be destroyed sooner or later, and then they pulled that trigger on themselves in the most obvious way possible on October 7, 2023, which stands as one of the darkest days of the last century. Humanity allowed Gaza to happen because it wouldn't take Hamas at its word. Humanity allowed Gaza to happen because it lied to itself for decades about the nature of the Islamic currents that motivate Hamas and "Palestinianism" more broadly. Humanity allowed Gaza to happen because it wouldn't address a problem correctly from the beginning, not least because it was terrified of being called racist and refused, nobly but stupidly, that human beings could be led by ideology and religion to the depths of evil and depravity that had captured the Gazans. Humanity allowed Gaza to happen, that is, because it refused to take Gazans at their word. Israel, starting in late 2023, finally woke up in the worst way possible to the need to STOP LETTING GAZA HAPPEN, the result of which your video depicts and the truth and moral of which you, like a demon, invert.
Years from now, my grandkids will ask me how humanity allowed Gaza to happen. I still don’t have an answer for them 💔 xitter.cf/mhmd_s09/status/209257…

The Transmission Problem. Every civilization faces the same final question. Not the barbarian at the gate – that can be fought. Not the economic collapse – that can be recovered from. The question that cannot be survived if answered wrongly: did you pass it forward? The torch changes hands or it doesn’t. The light doesn’t go out dramatically. It goes out quietly, generation by generation, when the transmission fails – when what was built is not explained, when what was defended is not named, when what was beautiful is not shown to the child who would have loved it if someone had taken the time. 1. The transmission mechanism is the most important institution in any civilization – and the least visible. Not the army, not the economy, not the government. The father who takes his son to the edge of the kingdom at dawn and says: everything the light touches is our kingdom, and one day you will stand here with your own son. The teacher who hands the student a book and says: this will change how you see everything, and it changed how I see everything, and someone handed it to me. The civilization that knows what it is and says so, clearly, to the next person in the chain. The torch doesn’t pass itself. Someone has to carry it, deliberately, to the next set of hands. 2. The long march understood this before the West did. Gramsci’s insight was precisely about transmission – the ruling class maintains power not through force but through controlling what the next generation is taught to think is natural. Capture the school, the university, the media – the transmission mechanisms – and the cultural hegemony reproduces itself automatically, without enforcement, because the next generation never learns that it could think otherwise. The march didn’t attack the civilization directly. It attacked the transmission. Which is more efficient and more permanent – because a civilization that has lost the ability to transmit itself is defeated without ever being confronted. 3. The family is the primary transmission mechanism – and therefore the primary target. Not because the family is politically significant in itself but because it is where the first transmission happens: the values, the stories, the sense of what is worth admiring and what is worth fighting for. The child who grows up in a family that knows what it is and says so becomes a person who knows what they are. The child who grows up in a family that has been taught that its own values are suspect, its own history shameful, its own civilization merely one option among many – that child is already a partial transmission failure. Multiply across a generation and you have what we are currently living through. 4. The school is the secondary transmission mechanism – and the most completely captured. The curriculum that replaced the canon with the critique of the canon. The teacher replaced by the facilitator. The examination replaced by the self-expression. The standard replaced by the affirmation. This is not incompetence – it is the long march’s most successful operation. Deconstructing a civilization’s transmission mechanism produces, reliably and by design, a generation with nothing to transmit. That was the point. The generation that cannot read the primary sources cannot assess the argument that the primary sources are oppressive. It simply accepts the conclusion, because it has no access to the evidence that would allow it to disagree. 5. The culture is the tertiary transmission mechanism – the stories, images, music, and beauty that transmit the civilization’s values below the level of argument. Homer transmitted Greek civilization for centuries before anyone theorized about what Greek civilization was. Shakespeare transmitted the English-speaking world’s understanding of human nature for four hundred years. The fairy tale transmitted the moral grammar of European civilization to children too young for philosophy. The long march captured this too – Hollywood, the prize committees, the arts funding, the music industry – and replaced the transmission with its own content. The child who grows up on a cultural diet produced by the captured mechanism is being transmitted to. The question is what is being transmitted. 6. This series is an act of transmission. Not primarily an argument – an attempt to pass forward the vocabulary, the framework, the sense of what the civilization is and what it is worth, in the format that reaches the person who will not read the primary sources but who will read this. The secondhand dealer in ideas, in Hayek’s formulation – making thinkable for millions what the primary producer made possible. Every piece is a link in the chain. The chain runs from Homer to Aristotle to Cicero to Augustine to Aquinas to Montesquieu to Burke to Tocqueville to Hayek to this feed to the person reading it now. The chain is only as strong as its weakest link. The weakest links are the ones the long march attacked. This is an attempt at repair. 7. The transmission problem has one solution and it is not institutional – it is personal. You cannot transmit a civilization through a policy. You can only transmit it through a person who has received it and passes it forward deliberately, to a specific other person, in the full knowledge that the chain depends on this act. The father and the son at the edge of the kingdom. The teacher and the student with the book. The writer and the reader with the vocabulary. Every act of genuine transmission is an act of civilizational resistance – because the managed reality depends on the chain being broken, on each generation starting fresh without the inheritance, on the past being made inaccessible so that the present can be managed. Break the managed access to the past. Pass it forward. To your children first. Then to everyone else. The torch changes hands or it doesn’t. You are holding it now.
Is Poland Saving Western Civilization? 🇵🇱🏛️🗽 A US Senator asked the question. It deserves a serious answer. The short answer is: we are trying. We have done it before. We know what it costs. The longer answer requires understanding why the view from Warsaw is the clearest available – and why the diagnosis of what is happening to the West keeps coming from the East. 1. Poland has been at the intersection of the two great totalitarianisms of the twentieth century. Not as an observer – as the primary victim. The Nazi-Soviet Pact of 1939 was not an alliance between opposites. It was a cooperation between variants of the same system – two collectivisms dividing between them the country that stood in the way. We lost six million people. We lost Warsaw, rebuilt stone by stone from memory. We lost forty-five years to Soviet occupation. And then, in 1989, we did something nobody thought possible: we got out. Not through revolution – through the slow, patient, organized accumulation of resistance that the system could not finally contain. The word for what we learned in that process is zakłamanie – the systematic societal lie that the system requires to function. We know it from the inside. We know its smell, its texture, its specific weight in a room. When we see it operating in Western institutions, we recognize it immediately. The West is still learning the vocabulary. We have been living inside it. 2. This is not the first time Poland has stood at the hinge of Western history. Vienna 1683 – Sobieski rode down the hill with the Polish Winged Hussars cavalry when the Ottoman army was at the gates of Europe and everyone else was calculating the cost of resistance. He didn’t calculate. He rode. 1920 – the Battle of Warsaw stopped the Red Army from reaching Western Europe. Lord D’Abernon called it the eighteenth decisive battle of world history. If Warsaw had fallen, the revolution would have probably reached Germany, France, the West – before it had produced the antidotes. The course of the twentieth century would have been different. It didn’t fall. 1980 – Solidarity cracked the Iron Curtain when cracking it seemed impossible. 1989 – Poland again – the Round Table agreement that began the democratic domino effect across Eastern Europe started in Warsaw. The pattern is not coincidence. It is geography, history, and the specific formation that comes from being the country that cannot afford to be wrong about power. 3. The wound produces the clarity. This is the key mechanism. Poland has been processed by both totalitarianisms – has lived inside the systematic lie, has learned what it costs to name it and what it costs not to, has developed the cultural antibodies that the West is now discovering it needs and does not have. The smile that doesn’t come easily. The directness that sounds harsh to ears trained on managed reality. The instinct to name what is happening before the naming becomes dangerous – because we have lived in the world where it becomes dangerous, and we know how fast that transition occurs. The West looks at Eastern Europe and sees countries that haven’t quite caught up. Eastern Europe looks at the West and sees countries that are catching down – toward something we recognize, something we spent decades trying to escape, something we would very much prefer not to return to. 4. The vocabulary is the contribution. Zakłamanie – systemic societal lying, the managed reality that corrupts categories of thought. Obłuda – performative hypocrisy, the mask of falsehood worn so long it becomes the face. The Systemic Lie – not individual dishonesty but the institutionalized replacement of truth with the appearance of truth across every surface simultaneously. These are not theoretical concepts. They are survival tools, developed by a civilization that needed them to survive. When this series uses them to describe what is happening in Brussels, in Paris, in the captured universities and the content moderation departments and the fact-checking organizations – it is not importing foreign concepts. It is returning concepts to the civilization that produced the conditions requiring them, with the precision that comes from having had to use them in earnest. 5. The series you are reading is one answer to the Senator’s question. Not the only answer. The most important answer is Poland itself: the country that has maintained its civilizational vitality while Western Europe collapses, that has built a functioning economy while its neighbors stagnate, that has maintained its identity while the managed reality tries to dissolve it, that has said no to the mechanisms of the long march with a clarity that comes from knowing exactly what those mechanisms lead to. Poland is not perfect. No country is. But it is one of the few places in the Western world where the question "what are we for?" has a clear answer – and where that answer is transmitted, generation to generation, in the family, the church, the school, the culture, with the urgency of people who know what happens when the transmission fails. 6. Musk reposts. Milei reposts. A US Senator asks the question. European politicians stay silent. This distribution of attention is itself diagnostic. The people who are fighting the managed reality recognize the vocabulary because they need it. The people who are maintaining it stay silent because they recognize it for what it is – a threat to the system that produced them and that they are producing in turn. The silence of European institutions is not ignorance. It is acknowledgment. They know what is being said. They know it is true. They know that engaging with it on its own terms would require admitting things that the system cannot admit and remain the system. 7. Is Poland saving Western civilization? The question assumes that saving is something one country does for another. It is not. It is something a civilization does for itself – through the specific people and places that have maintained the clearest view of what the civilization is, what threatens it, and what it costs to defend it. Poland is one of those places. The wound is real. The clarity it produces is real. The vocabulary it generates is being used, right now, by people on every continent who are trying to name what is happening to their countries and find the courage to say so. There is a Polish motto that captures this precisely – one that has accompanied every Polish fight for freedom since the nineteenth century: Za wolność naszą i waszą. For your freedom and ours. It was the motto of the Polish officers who fought in the uprisings against the partitioning powers and in every war where Poles went to fight for someone else’s freedom because they understood, instinctively, that freedom is indivisible – that the freedom lost in Warsaw is eventually lost in Paris, and the freedom defended in Vienna is eventually defended everywhere. The Winged Hussars rode down the hill at Vienna in 1683 not because Vienna was Poland – but because the civilization was one thing, and what threatened it threatened everything. Za wolność naszą i waszą. The motto is more durable than any alliance. It is the specific Polish understanding that you cannot defend your own freedom while remaining indifferent to someone else’s. Tell the truth. Have courage. And build. We learned this the hard way. We are passing it forward. That is what civilizations do when they intend to survive. Za wolność naszą i waszą used to be the motto of our fight. It still is. 🇵🇱🗽

Friedrich Hayek – The Man Who Gave the Counter-March Its Strategy. Gramsci invented the long march through the institutions. Dutschke gave it its name. They built the infrastructure of the left’s cultural dominance – and it worked. But there was a man on the other side who understood the mechanism just as clearly and built a counter-strategy that produced Thatcher, Reagan, and Milei. His name was Friedrich Hayek. And his strategy is still underused – including in Poland. 1. The key text is not The Road to Serfdom. It is a 1949 essay almost nobody has read: The Intellectuals and Socialism. Why do socialist ideas keep winning politically, even when the evidence against them accumulates? Because you are watching the final stage of a process that began decades earlier. Before any idea reaches parliament, it circulates among academics. From them it passes to the secondhand dealers – the writers, teachers, journalists who translate abstract ideas into the common assumptions of an entire society. By the time the politician acts, the intellectual work is already done. The politician is not the beginning of change. He is its final expression. 2. He called them secondhand dealers in ideas – the most important role in the intellectual supply chain. The academic produces the idea. The secondhand dealer makes it thinkable for millions who will never read the academic paper. If he wrote the essay today he would add influencers, podcasters, and profiles like this one to the list. The mechanism is the same. The distribution is faster. Which is why the counter-march can now move at a speed Hayek could not have imagined. 3. He did not stop at the essay. He built institutions. The Mont Pelerin Society – 1947. The Atlas Network – founded after Hayek explained the way to change society was not to enter politics but to change the intellectual climate first. These institutions spent decades producing ideas considered radical and politically impossible – and then Thatcher happened. Then Reagan. Then Milei. Thatcher said of them: "There were not many of them, not everyone wanted to listen – but they were right, and they saved Great Britain." 4. The difference between the Gramscian left and the Hayekian right is not the strategy. The strategy is the same: change the intellectual climate, move the Overton Window, wait for the political moment when what was previously unthinkable becomes inevitable. The difference is that the left funded it systematically for fifty years. The right understood it in theory and underfunded it in practice – treating independent think tanks as expensive hobbies rather than load-bearing infrastructure for ideas you want to become policy. 5. Both sides understood the mechanism. One funded it properly. The other kept looking for the politician — the next Reagan, the next Milei — without understanding that before each of them there were decades of institutional work that nobody filmed. You cannot skip the intellectual work and go straight to the politician. Someone must produce the ideas. Someone must translate them for millions. Someone must fund the institutions that do both for twenty years, including when the ideas are unfashionable. 6. The series you are reading is the Hayekian strategy running at 2026 speed. The secondhand dealing – civilizational argument translated into the format that reaches millions who will never read Gramsci or Hayek but who recognize the mechanism when they see it named. Musk and Milei repost it because they recognize the intellectual supply chain working in real time. The Overton Window is moving. The counter-march has a distribution platform the left cannot control. 7. Hayek died in 1992, vindicated on everything, implemented insufficiently. And then the tide came back – because the intellectual infrastructure was never built at the scale the long march had built theirs. We are building it now. This series is part of it. The work is not finished. It has barely begun.
Antonio Gramsci – The Most Dangerous Intellectual of the Twentieth Century. Not the most famous. Not the most read. The most dangerous and the most consequential – because he was the one who figured out why the revolution kept failing, and what to do instead. The man who invented the long march through the institutions. Everything that followed — the Frankfurt School, the Fabian Society’s operational model, the WEF formation pipeline, the captured university, the HR department enforcing approved speech — is downstream of what he wrote in a prison cell in Mussolini’s Italy, in code, between 1929 and 1935. 1. His central question: why hasn’t it happened? The working class was supposed to rise. The contradictions of capitalism were supposed to produce the revolution. They hadn’t – not in the West. Gramsci’s answer was precise and devastating: because the ruling class does not maintain power through force alone. It maintains power through cultural hegemony – the control of the ideas, values, and frameworks through which people understand the world. The worker who accepts that the existing order is simply how things are will not revolt, regardless of his material conditions. The revolution requires cultural change first. 2. The instrument was the long march through the institutions. Not the barricade. The school, the university, the media, the judiciary, the civil service, the cultural establishment – every institution through which a civilization transmits its values to the next generation. Capture these, fill them with people who share the counter-hegemonic project, and the cultural assumptions that maintain the existing order gradually dissolve. No barricades. No visible moment of rupture. Just the slow replacement of one cultural hegemony with another. 3. The educational capture was the masterpiece. Control the curriculum and you control the categories of thought available to the next generation. Not by telling them what to conclude – by shaping what questions they think to ask, what they consider obvious and what they consider unthinkable. The generation educated after the long march does not need to be told what to think. It thinks what it was formed to think – and experiences that thinking as its own. 4. He also theorized the organic intellectual – the person who translates the theoretical framework into stories and assumptions that circulate through the culture without appearing ideological. The film that makes the existing order seem absurd. The journalist who frames every story within the approved assumptions. Gramsci understood that culture is politics by other means – and that the side that controls the culture wins, regardless of who wins the elections. 5. This is not a conspiracy theory. It is a published, documented, widely taught strategy that the left implemented consciously across the entire Western world. The 1968 generation put it into practice in the universities. They became the professors, the journalists, the civil servants, the judges, the HR directors of the decades that followed. The march took fifty years. It worked. 6. Mussolini’s prosecutor said at his trial: "We must stop this brain from functioning for twenty years." The brain did not stop. It produced thirty-three notebooks – smuggled out, published, and became the most widely read Marxist text in the Western academy after Marx himself. Gramsci died in 1937, six days after his release, at forty-six. He did not see the march he theorized. He did not need to. 7. Every captured institution, every transformed curriculum, every HR department enforcing approved speech, every content moderation policy suppressing the unauthorized voice – all running the program Antonio Gramsci designed in a prison cell, by a brain that was supposed to have been stopped. It wasn’t. And neither was the march. Until now – because the distribution monopoly that made its outcomes enforceable is cracking. The counter-march has begun. It just doesn’t have a name yet.

LOL no. David Jolly isn’t a moderate by any stretch of the imagination. He is campaigning on: - Abortion through at least 24 weeks - Opposes Florida’s state-level illegal immigration enforcement approach - Banning the sale of semiautomatic rifles -Wants government licensing on firearms - Wants to repeal Florida’s constitutional definition of marriage and revere Florida laws characterized as “anti-LGBTQ.” - He’s for transing kids over parents wishes - Wants to reverse policy about LGBTQ content in schools over parental concerns - Wants to expand government welfare programs - Endorses progressive “systemic bias” in policing and criminal justice - Attacks and wants to reverse Florida’s school choice model for government-funded schools Jolly has not merely left the Republican Party, he has substantively changed his positions since Congress. Jolly now emphasizes that he changed, rather than claiming the Republican Party simply left him. He has reversed himself on major defining issues, especially abortion, 2A, and LGBTQ, and has said the Democratic Party’s values are “absolutely right.” That makes the “former Republican” label biographical, not an accurate description of his present platform or policy.
