Girls on the Camas High cross-country team walked off today instead of being forced to compete against a male teammate.
He started the season on the boys' team, finished 76th in a boys' JV race, then switched to the girls' team and won a varsity race.
From 76th in boys' JV to first in girls' varsity
The runner started this season on the boys' team. According to OutKick:
•September 5: he finished 76th in a boys' JV race.
•Then, midseason, he switched to the girls' team.
•September 26: he finished second among 195 girls at a race in Portland.
•September 29: he won a girls' varsity race in a dual meet against Union High School.
•October 10: at the Nike Hole in the Wall Invitational in Arlington, he finished 39th of 135 in the girls' elite 5K in 18:36.8. OutKick noted that the same time would have placed him last of 159 in the boys' elite race, by about 30 seconds.
Under the rules of the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), the switch is allowed. A boy only has to declare a female identity.
Last month, two girls from rival Skyview High walked off the course rather than race him. Now nearly half the girls on his own Camas team have done the same. 👏🏼

For God's sake, what has happened to men that they let young women go through this on their own?

If you are a CEO of Formula 1 and have to sit and listen to delegations led by Gayton or Nelly, I believe this was honestly an issue choice. Rwanda is about business, Gayton is about vibes😂😂
Probably he was also trying to also introduce them to a local 30% BEE partner (i.e. PA member) 🤡

Benefits of Colonialism,
Episode 1: Kariba
Europeans built the Kariba Dam in the 1950s under the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland: a 128-metre double-curvature concrete arch designed by French engineer André Coyne and constructed by Italian companies. It created the world’s largest man-made lake by volume and still supplies reliable hydroelectric power that Zambia and Zimbabwe depend on today.
This was European technical mastery and long-term vision applied in Africa: delivering electricity, flood control, and industrial capacity on a scale Africans couldn’t even dream of. Decades later the dam remains a cornerstone of regional development, a standing reminder that European engineering left permanent, tangible benefits.

Did not think this would get so much reaction. Just to be clear: There are times when a really cold Guinness is great. It’s just not my go-to beverage. But really cold, on tap, in Ireland? Yeah I’m in for some liquid pumpernickel.

Dit is een Tesla batterij.
Om het te maken heb je nodig:
12 ton steen voor lithium
5 ton kobalt mineralen
3 ton mineraal voor nikkel
12 ton kopererts
Verplaats 250 ton grond om te verkrijgen:
12 kg lithium
30 pond stuivers
22 kg mangaan
15 pond kobalt
100 kg rammen

It took Rhodesians roughly 90 years of concentrated engineering, fiscal discipline, and institutional planning to build the industrial, agricultural, and logistical powerhouse that was handed over at Independence from Britain in 1980.
They built a highly sophisticated, self-sustaining economy that could withstand global isolation, comprehensive international sanctions, and a protracted civil war.
They laid the railway tracks, engineered the electrical grids, constructed the water infrastructure, and turned the country into the undisputed breadbasket of Southern Africa.
And ZANU-PF managed to completely dismantle and gut that entire legacy in less than their first 20 years of rule.
By the time the year 2000 arrived, the foundational pillars of the state were already structurally hollowed out.
Think about the sheer velocity of that decay. You went from a globally competitive currency and top-tier industrial output to the total evaporation of property rights, the weaponization of the central bank, and the absolute destruction of the agricultural supply chain.
It takes generations of meritocracy, rule of law, and rigorous economic planning to construct world-class infrastructure. But it only takes a single generation of economic illiteracy, unbridled corruption, and predatory political patronage to turn it all into a cautionary tale.
The tragedy isn't just that they didn't know how to build; it's that they didn't even know how to maintain what was already built.

Well, one thing I think we can all agree on: Scott Jennings would have had a much better debut.
Listen I'm all for celebrating and making the game fun and I'm saying this thru the lens of the pitcher but you take 35 seconds to round the bases and stop at 2nd to throw a grenade where the ball landed. Im hitting you in the middle of the back next season

Anna Paulina Luna practically jumps out of her panties when asked about Russia.
She says she’s been spending a lot of time in Russia meeting with officials and says Jared Kushner is doing fantastic work.
Isn’t Anna supposed to represent a district in Florida? What is she doing?

Palestine Central Bureau of Statistics states population of Gaza before October 7th at 2.2 million; 2026 at 2.1 million. Of course there has been atrocious brutality and tragedy, during the war, not least because Hamas fought it in a densely populated civilian area. But this is not a genocide. The loss is 4.55% of the Gaza population. 70% of Tutsis were murdered in that genocide; probably 75% of Ottoman Armenians in the massacres, famine an death marches; 66% of European Jews in the war. Please read some history
Replying to @simon_schama
So is it only a Genocide if those on the recieving end are Jewish? Come on @simon_schama I expected far better from you!
