This game has been a hot topic recently, with less-than-kind discussions and arguments being had across the internet so we feel this is important to say: With the Extended Look at GTA VI coming to Netflix and YouTube on August 27th - we want to make sure everyone's expectations are tempered and reasonable. GTA VI is going to be a videogame. The gameplay is going to look like what we know from GTA, hopefully with improvements to control, interactivity, etc. It's not going to be a next-gen real life sim. It will likely be technically impressive and ahead most if not all current games on the market, but the step up can only go so far. It's not going to resurrect any dead pets. It's not going to solve all your life's problems. It's not going to make your crush fall madly in love with you. It's going to be a fun game with an incredible story in a highly detailed and interactive world. Sure, it'll be a cultural event - but don't expect things like 70% of interiors to be enterable, a secret state of Gloriana, a hidden third protagonist, realistic NPCs with unique names that you can fully conversate with and follow that remember you, or the sorts. We might get a quick mention / few sentence teaser of the new version of GTA Online but this will more than certainly focus entirely on the singleplayer experience. Go in with an open mind, remember what is actually physically technically possible on current hardware to be made by living human people, and be ready to be blown away.
