#ByeonWooSeok & #IU rank #1 in the Top 10 K-drama couples of 2026 among Taiwanese internet users #PerfectCrown Warning: sweetness overload! Who is the ultimate K-drama screen couple of the year? K-drama fans, are you ready for this year’s biggest dose of sweetness? Looking back at the 2026 K-drama landscape, the chemistry between an on-screen couple has undoubtedly been one of the key factors determining whether a drama becomes a huge hit! From the dream second pairing of “chaebol heiress × powerless grand prince,” the verbal tug-of-war between an “interpreter × top superstar,” and the extreme push-and-pull between a “crazy chaebol heir × time-traveling villainess,” to the AI-powered “subscription boyfriend,” drama productions have been serving up frequent kissing scenes and highly charged, sexually tense moments, leaving viewers across the internet collectively developing “CP brain” and crying out that they’ve been completely overwhelmed by the sweetness! Among all these heavenly pairings, which on-screen couple generated the most discussion on social media? And which couple managed to be so sweet both on and off screen that matching couple items sparked a frenzy of “is fiction becoming reality?” speculation? DailyView of Network Temperature used the public-opinion analysis software KEYPO Big Data Key Engine to investigate the volume of discussion among Taiwanese internet users between January 1 and September 29, revealing the “Top 10 K-Drama Couples of 2026” ranked by online discussion volume. Let’s take a look! #1 Byeon Wooseok, IU (Perfect Crown) After a nine-year wait since Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, “Nation’s Little Sister” IU (Lee Jieun) and top star Byeon Wooseok reunited on screen as a second pairing in Perfect Crown. The two powerhouse stars joined forces in the drama, whose finale achieved a nationwide average rating of 13.8%, with its peak moment soaring above 16.1%, bringing the series to a spectacular conclusion. The drama also sparked a huge viewing craze globally on Disney+! IU played Seong Huiju, a beautiful and ambitious second daughter of a chaebol family, while Byeon Wooseok portrayed Grand Prince Lee Ahn, a noble royal who had been deprived of his freedom. The pairing of “commoner chaebol heiress × powerless second son of the royal family” broke through the constraints of their social status through a marriage of destiny, earning them the title of the most electrifying “Grand Prince Couple” of the year. Their scenes together were packed with chemistry. Their “Titanic kiss” on the yacht, as well as the passionate scene in Episode 10 where IU takes the initiative to kiss him and Byeon Wooseok pulls her close by the waist, were overflowing with sexual tension. Fans even hailed it as the most intense kissing scene of IU’s career! Although some viewers criticised the political conspiracy storyline in the latter half for being too predictable, the pair’s appearance together on IU’s Palette, where they performed a heartfelt duet of It’s You, showcased their impressive vocal talents and sent their discussion volume soaring to its peak. CP fans across the internet went wild, flooding the comments with praise: “The best and most natural kisses ever.” “The way they look at each other is filled with so much love.” “Their mutual, wholehearted love is so addictive.” “I’m completely trapped in the Grand Prince Couple’s love story and can’t escape.” With that, the Grand Prince Couple firmly claimed the No. 1 spot in the 2026 K-drama CP discussion rankings! Support truck account for #ByeonWooSeok from TTE TW ♥ BWS! "He looked extremely exhausted, to the point where he could barely keep his eyes open 🥹🥹 What really touched us was that filming that day was incredibly busy, and it was almost impossible for him to get away from the set. They were filming one scene after another with practically no breaks. But even under those circumstances, the actor still came out to see us. The actor took lots of photos. He also read every single word on the support banner, one character at a time, and he looked at it very slowly and carefully. He was extremely grateful and specifically said that he wanted us to make sure to pass his thanks on to the fans. We also personally prepared some special desserts for the actor and gave them to him. We told him, “Good luck with filming!” and he replied, “I’ll enjoy them.” He kept thanking us over and over again. The actor himself is truly, truly kind. He really is the best! Also, his manager felt very sorry and apologetic that he wasn’t able to take the fans’ postcards with him. When he was holding the signed papers that had been prepared for you all, he specifically asked us to make sure we passed this message on to the fans: 'Thanks to the fans, I’m always able to receive strength. Thank you so, so much.'" From Wooseok: To. TTE TW ♥ BWS Thanks to everyone for sending such warm and heartfelt support, I was able to complete the filming with a happy heart and positive energy. Thank you for always supporting (and accompanying) me even from far away ♡ 愛 (Love) Credit: verum0608/Threads
