When assessing the thermal risks from a potential electric arc event, several quantitative parameters must be obtained. Do you know what these are? ➡️ ow.ly/mPHX50GGNRe

Arc flash is a type of electrical explosion or discharge that results from a connection through air to ground or another voltage phase in an electrical system. Have you considered the potentially devastating effects of an electric arc flash? ➡️ ow.ly/gEw850GXLe1

Reminder: Most incidents in electrical work occur because the equipment is thought to be dead, or known to be live but those involved do not have adequate training, appropriate equipment, or have not taken adequate precautions ⤵️ ow.ly/KUXa50GXLax

Heads-up: The incident heat energy in an electric arc is determined by arc current and duration, the distance between the worker and the arc, and the configuration of the conductors and the surrounding environment. #arcflash ➡️ ow.ly/CU3T50GSM8l

When serious injury or death occurs whilst working on electrical equipment, electrocution can be the first thing that comes to mind. However, the blast and thermal energy from an arc flash may be equally relevant. #arcflash #electricalsafety ➡️ ow.ly/kNUz50GSM83

Reminder: An arc flash study is a specialist risk assessment that identifies all areas of risk within a working environment and determines the level of the arc flash hazard. #arcflash ➡️ ow.ly/SkYp50GSM7M
