When I was writing Unreal Engine 1, my time was divided as follows:
- Around 30% went to seriously deep coding on hard problems: assembly language texture mappers, C++ BSP trees, data persistence, object oriented systems design, and networking.
- Around 70% was just typing and refactoring large bodies of code needed for a complete engine feature set. This was not hard, and while I was doing it my mind was mostly on the deeper coding topics, thinking and planning for what's next. It didn't feel much different from vibe coding today, except that it was just me typing code on an IBM Model M keyboard rather than prompting it and reviewing the results.
So, it has always seemed perfectly logical that we would rely on AI for that 70%, once the AI could do it with a similar quality standard as we could, which has never been perfection. It came as no surprise that, after a few years of AI model evolution, it was able to take the reigns on that 70% and free up programmers' time for more valuable tasks.
What's more of a surprise is the emergence of AI as a sort of insta-Carmack able to solve hard technical problems quite cleverly and often cleanly, and that it's able to reason about and work in complex 3D scenes both by operating the tools and by directly understanding the raw data files.
I abandoned assembly language in 1998 when out-of-order CPUs made much simpler C/C++ code faster, and never I missed it. If prompting through architectural documents, concept art, and design plans can transcend typing code and tweaking vertices, that will enable developers to spend their time on higher-level, higher value technical and creative tasks.
What matters is the end product, whether it's a game or an engine. Anything developers can do to try out more ideas and make better software and games faster is a win for everyone.

Já pensaram o quanto no futuro estaríamos se não gastássemos tanto dinheiro e tempo com político?
try pstack! it’s my personal set of skills for rigorous and autonomous engineering with agents. it’s updated frequently as I continue to tune and simplify them
10 second tutorial:
1. run /setup-pstack and choose your budget
2. add /poteto-mode in front of any prompt you want done rigorously
3. ask /poteto-help whenever you’re unsure what pstack skills to use
4. that’s it!

Fortnite is coming to Linux!!
We are already working with the folks at @EpicGames to ensure that @Omarchy is ready on day one with all the security requirements.
Amazing what's possible when you nag @TimSweeneyEpic for years 😂

Help us bring more awesome games to Linux
This is an open call to Linux distro maintainers and the wider Linux community, with a goal to work together and bring fair multiplayer gaming to Linux players.
We’re rebuilding our Linux anti-cheat into EAC Linux v2 so that Linux players can have a similar level of protection against cheaters as Windows users do.
We’ll pilot EAC Linux v2 with Fortnite first, with wider availability for game developers once we’ve validated its effectiveness.

Tem uma guerra dos sexos nessas redes sociais onde homen fala mal de mulher, e mulher fala mal de homen.
Kkkkkkk é basicamente isso, ae na vida real ninguém fala ou faz essas coisas.

Shut your yap.
Open Office / Libre Office sucks.
It ate my 40 page essay during finals week.
I'm paying back a grudge that has been years in the making.
Stop dragging along shitty OSS software and venerating it like it's some holy relic. Let it die.

i love writing. i never let agents write for me. whether it's docs, or tweets, or shitposts, or even prompts (okay maybe that one's harder as agents manage other agents)
there's a simple reason for that: i still strongly believe that writing is thinking. it's a skill i hope to never give up. it's also important to me that whatever i say is always authentic, mistakes and all. my favorite posts are the ones that i just full send without any editing
i suspect it also helps with prompting. being able to clearly express what i want, and knowing the vocabulary i need to be able to direct my agents does seem to make for more effective usage of agents. in the same way that engineers have an advantage when we prompt agents to write code, because we are intimately familiar with the words that make up the discipline
knowing the right word incantations to get an agent to produce a desired goal almost feels like spellcasting. as models get more capable, and that input box looks more and more like a magic box that can output anything, words become the interface between you and the genie
there may come a time when we give up the keyboard in exchange for brain-computer interfaces. but until then, i'm writing every word.

Será que as pessoas um dia vão entender que política não é sobre "X candidato tem propostas boas" mas sim sobre "X candidato defende que o estado encha menos o saco"?
Estado só atrapalha em 99,9999% dos casos

If this next T3 Code build fails again because of Windows ARM support, I will be removing it from T3 Code forever.
Microsoft isn't supporting it, why should we?

I hate to tell ya, Satya... no, who am I kidding, I *love* to tell ya: it's too late. It's far, far too late for you.
The scale and speed of the AI-assisted reverse engineering of the Adobe suite means doom is coming to Excel and Office and Windows itself. These things can be done now, with the tools we already have.
The most around your software business is about to drain. You better get used to being a cloud-services company, because that's all you're going to have left.
