#WomenRebuildTheWorld: IMF-World Bank policies that promote debt-driven austerity & privatisation divert public resources from healthcare, education, social protection & care systems.
✊🏽 We demand systemic change! #ShutDownIMFWB!
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: As the IMF-World Bank meet in Bangkok, we challenge development agendas tied to security, extraction & geopolitical interests that reinforce authoritarianism & silence women HR defenders.
✊ We call for #FeministPeaceAndJustice! 🕊️
#ShutDownIMFWB
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: Conditionalities imposed by international financial institutions like the IMF-World Bank only deepen inequality and shrink democratic space.
✊ Our demand: #CancelTheDebt!
We need #FeministDevelopmentJustice now!

#FeministsWantSystemChange
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: Gender equality & “economic growth” agendas, including the IMF-World Bank’s gender framework, push women into precarious, underpaid & informal work, without adequate rights, protections/collective bargaining power.
✊ Women deserve #DecentWork!
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: As the IMF and World Bank meet in Bangkok, we stand with rural women & communities demanding a world that puts people & the planet before profit.
✊🏽 Today and every day, we organise, resist, rebuild, towards #FeministDevelopmentJustice!
#GlobalDayOfAction
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: The climate crisis is driven by extractivist, profit-driven development that puts corporate profits before people and the planet.
✊ As the IMF and World Bank shape global economic policies, we demand climate accountability: #ClimateCriminalsMustPay!
#WomenRebuildTheWorld: Rural, indigenous women & their communities are being dispossessed of land through agribusiness expansion, extractive projects & debt-driven policies imposed & backed by the IMF-World Bank conditionalities.
✊🏽 We call for #FeministFoodSovereignty now!
🗣️#WomenRebuildTheWorld: Educate, Organise, Mobilise! ✊
✊Through collective learning & organising, @apwld & @jass4justice bring together grassroots communities & CSOs from across the Global South to build our movements for feminist futures.

🚨We're reporting from the #WHRDAdvocacyWeek!
Last Tuesday, after networking with Geneva-based NGO colleagues in the morning, participants met with the staff of Special Procedures.
Yesterday, the defenders focused on the rights of #IndigenousPeoples, attending the #UN Annual Panel and then the Informal Debate with Special Rapporteur Albert K. Barume. They also learned about how to engage with Treaty Bodies.
With more armed conflicts raging worldwide than ever, and the climate crisis churning out natural disasters and extreme weather events with increasing frequency, learning the lessons from the work of women human rights defenders has never been more urgent. This was the focus of our #HRC63 side event today that highlighted the work of women defenders who live at the intersections of gender, climate and conflict.
Today, participants met with @SREnvironment @astridpuentes and the Working Group on Business and Human Rights. They also brainstormed about how the #UN human rights system can better meet the needs of women defenders.
