Health update: After 13 treatments, the nausea and fatigue continue but the headaches respond well to Tylenol. I'm nearly halfway through and while we're still trying to get the meds right, I should be able to complete the process. Hopefully it will work.

Health update: Been for radiation 5 times so far. It hit me harder than I thought w/headaches, nausea, & fatigue. Adjusting meds to compensate, I'm 1/6 of the way through it & feel like this. Yes, I'm a big Marie Curie fan.

Health update: Radiotherapy started today. It's not particularly comfortable but there's no pain and it doesn't take long. I've been told to expect significant fatigue over the next 6 weeks so I turned in our absentee ballots yesterday.

Last night I had a reaction to the radiation - serious headache & nausea which had me throwing up this morning. I'll be trying a low dose of steroids soon, the radiation may have triggered some swelling but that's not supposed to happen on the 1st day.
We voted today, the commercials can stop now.
Health update: Got the mask made to start radiotherapy in about a week. Good times.

Health update: Several of my tumors are growing again & they’re growing more rapidly than before. I’m probably going to start radiotherapy soon and if I do, it should be for 6 weeks. The goal will be to shrink the lesion which might block off the fourth ventricle in my brain.

Health update: The pazopanib didn't work so I stopped taking it in order to get a new baseline. I feel like I'm slipping slightly (hand tremors, memory issues, headaches, etc.) and a mid-Sept MRI will quantify it for me. After that, maybe radiation or something else.
Wow, I haven't watched a splashdown in at least 45 years. They're still exciting to see.
I'm processing the loss of Grant Imahara from a brain aneurysm at 49. Probably because it's a lot like the hemangioblastoma that was taken out of my brain when I was 49. Both are vascular & dangerous. Mine didn't kill me then but it came back & is trying to kill me now. Damn.

Met with the oncologist. It's really just one of the brain tumors that she's worried about, it's a slow grower so we're going to revisit it in 3 months see if radiation still looks like the best bet.

Health update: Last week's MRI is disappointing, the drug was ineffective & slight growth was seen. This is from the reports & I'm meeting with the oncologists over the next week. I'll post more when I know more. Add'l info on facebook, friend me there if you're interested.
There's a viral thing on Twitter that goes like this, "You meet your 15 year old self. You are allowed to say three words. What do you say?" For the benefit of my young friends, here are my answers to various younger versions of me. For you they might be really different:
