This is a really sad week.
But we just have to be grateful for so many years of joy we got from Dolly Parton, Tim Curry, and so many others no longer with us ♥️

When I put on the uniform as an Army Ranger, I swore an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. That oath didn't expire when I left the military, and it certainly didn't change when I was elected to Congress.
Six months ago, President Trump called for my arrest, prosecution, and execution, all because of a video reminding our servicemembers of their oaths and obligations under the law.
After the President’s threats, what we saw from Jeanine Pirro and the Department of Justice was a blatant, dangerous abuse of power. They tried to bring bogus criminal charges against me, Senator Mark Kelly, and others simply for restating the law. Pirro has been one of the President’s political stooges who has shamelessly tried to weaponize the justice system to intimidate perceived political enemies and silence free speech.
When a U.S. Attorney discards prosecutorial ethics and the law to carry out political hit jobs, there must be accountability. Prosecutors who violate their ethical duties, abuse their authority, and subvert the justice system should face consequences. No one is above the law.

RIP Dolly Parton. Can now join Kenny Rogers. This is still one of my favorite live performances ever. Back when singing was singing.

Eventually every Republican in America will have to come to terms with the fact they elected a Russian agent to be there president and gave him the keys to The White House.

WWII Veteran and Purple Heart recipient Robert Hilliard:
"Next week I'll be 101 years old. In February 1944 when I was 18 years old I was inducted into the army and what they taught me to do there was to kill people who set up detention camps. Can you imagine how I felt earlier this year when they announced that one of the future detention camps would be at that same camp landing in Florida? We have a fascist, a fascist government, that allows innocent people to be put in detention camps and incarcerated."

Let me be really clear about what just happened.
The head of the U.S. Postal Service sat in front of the United States Senate and said the quiet part loud: no voter list, no mail ballots. Full stop.
You don’t get to look away from this one.
This is a proposed rule. It’s being fought in court. But the fact that it was said — that a federal official openly threatened to withhold your ballot — that matters.
Your vote is yours. Not the administration’s. Not USPS’s. Yours.
Stay informed. Stay loud.
