I've seen a lot of bad takes from elected officials since Tuesday. Too many are trying to explain away the election results rather than confront the real problem staring back at them in the mirror. Let's get something straight. Hamilton County is not a blue county. Neither are Hendricks, Boone, Madison, or Delaware. Republicans didn't lose ground in these communities because of population growth or changing demographics. We lost because of bad policy, divisive politics, and a failure to deliver REAL results that make people's lives better. Did national politics play a role? Absolutely. The war, inflation, and tariffs have all contributed to rising costs at the gas pump, grocery store, and on utility bills. Voters are frustrated, and rightfully so. But let's not pretend our own Statehouse hasn't contributed to that frustration. Anyone who spent time knocking on doors and actually listening to voters heard it firsthand. People are tired of the divisiveness coming from some of our leaders. They're frustrated by the lack of meaningful action to make life more affordable. And they're tired of politicians picking fights with suburban communities and the very things that make them great, especially our schools. We need to stop treating the suburbs like the enemy and start listening to the people who live there. The answer isn't to double down on the same failed approach or blame voters for rejecting it. It's to recognize what isn't working and change course. Less partisanship. More action. Less talk. More results. And for once, let's stop talking long enough to actually listen. These counties aren't lost. They can absolutely be won back with strong leadership, common-sense policies, and a relentless focus on making life better and more affordable for Hoosiers. Voters aren't asking for more political bullshit. Many aren’t wearing a red or blue jersey. They're asking us to do our jobs. It's time we started listening.

Just how powerful has Sophie Cunningham's social media influence been? She gained more Instagram followers this season than the other 49 most-followed WNBA players COMBINED... and more than ANY NBA player.

With the WNBA season ending this weekend, here's a look at the total engagements on Instagram of its top 50 players this season. TLDR: Sophie Cunningham is in a league of her own. — Cunningham has 8.3M total engagements — 27% of the entire top 50 — and averages 518K engagements per post, 2.4x the next-highest player (Caitlin Clark). — Each of her four biggest posts individually generated more engagement than the full-season totals of 46 of the other 49 players. — It’s a four-player economy: Cunningham, Angel Reese, Paige Bueckers, and Caitlin Clark combine for 65.8% of all engagement across the top 50 (20.2M of 30.7M). — One caveat: A’ja Wilson, #6 in followers at 1.6M, hides her likes — so her engagement figures reflect comments only. Still applicable, but at this point, the Dodgers cracking anything stronger than a Gatorade after just the NLDS is ridiculous.
I can’t support any athlete/team who wears goggles in a locker room celebration.

My daughter saying Madonna looks like she’s 30 and me calmly suggesting that she promptly revise that number up to 50 at least if she ever plans to ask me for a favor again.

In a culture where men are vilified and marriage is embarrassing… this is so wonderfully defiant. Men, we ought to live so our wives are proud enough to point to their rings and say “that’s my husband.”

This is what pro-marriage content actually looks like. Being married is fun and awesome. It’s cheering on your best friend and not caring what the world thinks. Showing young adults that marriage can be wonderful is a winning message. And it’s true!
