This is getting f*cking useful: Claude can build your app while JEV spots easy jobs that don’t need an expensive AI.
Someone packed that setup into an open-source repo called jev-kit.
The idea is simple:
> Claude writes code and solves the hard problems. JEV checks whether the agent picked for a job is more powerful than it needs to be.
> Sending an expensive worker to find a file? The kit can flag it and suggest a cheaper one.
> In enforce mode, it can block dispatches that are 2 or more tiers above what JEV judges necessary.
> It also checks tool calls and sends agents back when they claim they’re done without verifying their work.
There’s an optional browser agent too:
> JEV picks the clicks
> Claude writes text into fields
> Sonnet planner can help with tasks where the steps aren’t clear
That’s the useful part: fewer small decisions left to the big model, with checks around the work it produces.
Start in shadow mode. See what gets flagged before letting it block anything. JEV calls need a TypeSafe API key.
paste this into Claude Code:
“Inspect jonathanavis96/jev-kit. Read docs/install.md and run install/install.sh –check-only.
Show how the tier guard and verification check fit my setup. Keep shadow mode on and show all proposed changes before installing.”

Let Claude solve the hard part. Check who you’re paying to do the easy part.

CapCut now has a free, open-source replacement. No watermark, no account, no subscription.
Concat is a video editor for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android that covers what most people open CapCut for:
→ Auto-captions, generated on your own computer
→ Text-to-speech, plus voice cloning from a few seconds of audio
→ Background removal for people and objects
→ Keyframe animation with a curve editor
→ 170+ effects, filters, transitions and text animations
→ Multi-track editing and 4K export
Everything runs locally. The AI models for captions, voices and cutouts download once and then work offline. Your footage never leaves your computer.
It's in beta, so expect a few rough edges.

Some great use cases from Googlers building with Gemini 4 Argon 🧵
It has a much stronger grasp of coding and multi-step tool use - starting from a raw Pixel CAD file in Google Antigravity, Argon created this exploded-view animation, lighting, camera choreography, and audio through Blender MCP.
It ran 1,000 rounds of iterative loops to check its own renders and refine the code along the way.

Gemini 4 Argon is here! It is our frontier model built for complex workflows across real-world software engineering, tested across Google's own codebases on real production challenges. There, we have seen an improvement in both developer velocity, with a 35% increase in agentic code, and code quality, with a 30% decrease in post-submit rollbacks.
Rolling out now to Google AI Ultra subscribers, try it in the Antigravity app and the Antigravity CLI. Get inspired with what you can build today ↓
